The village of Tideswell stands in the heart of the Peak District National Park. It has pubs, a restaurant, cafes, fish and chip shops, and sandwich shops and is surrounded by must-visit towns. Tideswell is well known for its popular Food Festival, which takes place every May. It features a wide variety of food from local suppliers, as well as stalls, cookery demonstrations and entertainment. There are excellent walking routes with rugged peaks to the north, gentle hills and dales to the south and Millers Dale just 4 miles outside the village. Mam Tor and Castleton are both within 11 miles and the popular spa town of Buxton is an 8-mile trip.

Step into the kitchen which offers everything you need to rustle up a delightful meal during your stay, including electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. The lounge/diner is the place where you can cosy up with good company on an evening, with beautiful wood flooring, stylish seating, a wood burner and smart TV with DVD and Blue Ray player. The nearby dining table offers a comfortable space to sit and enjoy a meal, whilst planning the activities that lie ahead. Upstairs, there are two bright and airy bedrooms, a super-king-size with fitted wardrobes providing plenty of storage space, and a further double bedroom. Don’t forget your bubble bath if you like a long soak after a day hiking the hills as the bathroom offers a bath, enclosed shower, and WC. There is a handy outhouse that has a washing machine, tumble dryer and space to store bikes and muddy boots.

There is on-street parking to the front of the cottage, subject to availability.

Cosy, comfortable cottage with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. Great location for anyone visiting the area - we would highly recommend Haddon Hall (particularly on a wet day), the Monsal Trail, & Mam Tor.

Lovely cottage in a good location. Had no issues parking outside the cottage. You are up a small incline from the main road. Very comfortable beds, plenty of storage space in the bedrooms. Lots of hangers in the wardrobe. Tideswell is a good base for walking and sightseeing.

Brilliant. Great location for exploring the Peaks with access to all the amenities you could need. A gem of a pub nearby (Red Lion @ Litton) and less than half an hour to Stanage Edge. The cottage feels much larger than it appears on the outside. We would definitely re-book on another visit.

Highly Recommend this beautiful Cottage just tucked out of the way in Tideswell. It had everything we needed easy parking right outside. Lovely views of the field behind. Comfortable bed. Homely feel, couple of minutes walk to everything in the village. Was perfect for our little family to have A stress free break. Perfect!

Lovely week in a period cottage, spotlessly clean and well equipped, beds in particular were very comfortable. Very well situated in the heart of Tideswell and with easy access and parking outside.

A comfortable and well presented cottage. We very much enjoyed our stay and in particular we enjoyed watching the cows come down into the lower field behind the cottage for a drink before bedtime.
