What a beautiful place to stay! Cosy, comfortable and very well equipped. Beautiful views from every window and walks in all directions. Would suggest walking around Buttermere (mid-week is quieter), ferry and walk around Derwentwater, forest walks in Whinlatter and coastal walks at St Bees.

This cottage is very well located and maintained. We had a wonderful holiday and hope to return. Everything was clean and attractive. The beanbags are no longer there in the games room but plenty of DVDs and a retro atari games console. We walked several of the "Wainwrights" and enjoyed the books and OS maps to help with this. The water gets nice and hot and "boosts" quickly for a bath. A great cottage in a great location, really comfortable and warm considering the winter weather. Spent a week over Christmas and was able to walk everyday without having to drive to far, Buttermere and Crummock are within 15 minutes. Whinlatter is also just up the road and great for forest walking.

Over bath shower required and a toilet that does not require flushing 5 times after use would be good. The bathroom blind requires replacement or repair. The provision of wine glasses would also be useful. Compared to other cottages we have had in the area, the property was pretty average.
