Those looking for a family family-friendly day out can visit the Sea L life centre in Weymouth or Swannery in Abbotsbury. Corfe Castle is also well worth a visit too and is home to castle ruins cared for by the National Trust. You can often find steam trains running between here and the seaside town of Swanage, and all these attractions are within a 20 20-mile radius.
From the parking area, you can enter this charming, detached holiday home from the rear garden and enter the boot room. This is the ideal space to leave muddy footwear and coats. Next is the lovely kitchen/diner. This spacious and sociable room has an electric AGA as well as an electric oven and hob. There is also a microwave, American-style fridge/freezer and dishwasher. You can enjoy leisurely meals at the table just opposite or take your coffee into the beautiful conservatory, which has a grapevine weaving across the ceiling. Next to the kitchen is a useful utility room with WC, washing machine and tumble dryer. A hallway leads from here to the games room with table football and air hockey and a play room for younger guests. Heading back into the centre of the house is a cosy reading area within the snug, complete with a wood burner and a door to the inviting lounge, which has a Smart TV and wood burner. Heading upstairs from the snug takes you to the first floor. At the top of the stairs is a bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC, and three of the four bedrooms. There is a king-size bedroom, a cosy bunk room, and a twin. At the end of the landing is a stylish king-size bedroom with Juliet balcony and en-suite bathroom, complete with freestanding bath, separate shower and WC. There are doors from the dining area, lounge, conservatory and boot room that lead into the garden.
Outside there is a patio with a fantastic outdoor kitchen, including a gas BBQ and wood wood-fired pizza oven, table and chairs for dining, as well as relaxed seating including sun loungers and a sofa. Younger guests are well catered for with a rustic play area complete with a tree house, climbing wall, mud kitchen, swing, slide, and sunken trampoline.
