The town is surrounded by mountains, Skiddaw and Blencathra and located between Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite all under 6 miles. Castlerigg Stone Circle is less than 2 miles away which dates back to the Neolithic era. Derwentwater is south of town, there are eight jetties where you can hop on and off the boat to explore. Visit Theatre by the Lake take in a show and visit Crow Park which is opposite, you can get 360 degree views of the mountains along with stunning views down the lake towards the exceptionally beautiful Borrowdale valley.
As you enter the property you will find yourself in the hallway where there is space to hang your coats and kick off your muddy boots. Off the hallway is the open plan lounge/diner, it offers a cosy and sociable space to catch up with family and friends. With comfortable seating and log burner it offers the perfect place to curl up and watch a good movie, it will sound better than usual with the great sound bar which has been installed. There is a formal dining table which can seat the whole family, from here the kitchen is down just one step and is well equipped. There is an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher , Nespresso coffee machine, air fryer and washing machine / dryer. You can access the enclosed garden from the kitchen. Head back to the hallway, and up to the first floor, the family bathroom is located mid landing, it has a lovely free-standing bath with claw feet and a separate shower and WC. On the first floor of this spacious house there is a cosy twin which has views over the garden and TV. Next door there is a king-size bedroom which has a TV with firestick and en-suite shower room and WC. Take the staircase up to the second floor, there is another king-size bedroom which has a Smart TV and stunning views across the town and fells.
The enclosed garden is suntrap on a nice day with ample seating where you can enjoy a coffee or glass of wine whilst listening to the peaceful water feature. There is a hose and an enclosed bike storage area where they are sheltered from the elements, however locks are not supplied, and it offers a safe space for your dog. There is unallocated onstreet parking or if you would prefer to use the car park which is one street away, there is a reduced weekly rate available. There are lots of shops, restaurants and pubs less than 0.25 miles from the property.
