Enjoying a beautiful and elevated position offering breathtaking rural and coastal views, this fresh, stylish and elegantly designed holiday home makes a fabulous getaway within easy reach of the sea.

This fantastic architect designed and owned property overlooks the picturesque village of Aberdyfi (also known as Aberdovey) and makes a fabulous base for keen walkers, climbers, nature lovers, golfers and water sports enthusiasts. Aberdyfi is known for its pastel-coloured houses and has a range of friendly pubs, restaurants and shops as well as a championship golf course and a wonderful stretch of golden sandy beach which curves round the coast along to the welcoming seaside town of Tywyn (5 miles). You can also follow the Old Roman Road to the delightful Picnic Island. The beautiful Dyfi Estuary flows out into the vast Cardigan Bay and is a wonderful spot for activities including watching wildlife, fishing, windsurfing and sailing.

The property is accessed via four steps on a wooden footbridge. The footbridge leads to the front door which is on the upper floor of this reverse-level property. Here you will find the fabulous glass-fronted open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This beautiful light-filled space is the heart of the house, perfect for everyone to gather together and unwind. The stylishly designed and spacious lounge has a TV, DVD, iPod dock, a warming wood burner and plenty of seating, perfect for sitting back and watching a favourite film or chatting into the night. The dining area has a welcoming dining table and a handy breakfast bar, while the fully equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric oven and gas hob and microwave. Glass sliding doors open out from the living area and onto a large, decked southwest facing balcony with plenty of outdoor furniture, providing a great spot for al fresco dining and enjoying the far-reaching views over the estuary. There’s also a WC and a small utility room on the first floor housing the washing machine, dryer and sink unit. Stairs lead down to the ground floor where you will find the four fresh and relaxing bedrooms, all with plenty of storage space. The first double bedroom has French doors opening out into the garden; the room also has an en-suite bathroom with a bath, shower, underfloor heating and WC. The second double room has an en-suite shower room with shower and WC. There are also two bright and spacious twin bedrooms as well as the main family bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC.

A comfortable modern property with excellent views situated high above the town of Aberdyfi. Even on a rainy day the panoramic windows of the top floor living area keep drawing your eyes to the coastal scenery. Despite a very damp week we enjoyed a one week break over New Year in a location with plenty of walks and places to visit.
