Very clean and cosy. Great location, no signal but strong wifi - so download your maps in advance if you need them! The bathroom and bedroom looked newly decorated and the views from the garden were incredible. Personally thought it was a bit pricey for the size, just based on places weve stayed in the past, but very cosy and a great wee spot.

A very comfortable appartment that is in a great location with plenty of walks straight from the door. Kitchen is well equipped but there's a pub only a minutes walk away if you don't want to cook. Unlike a previous reviewer we didn't have any issues with the bed!

Very adequate for 2 people & a dog, lots of walks from cottage, bus stop across the road ( very handy & don't forget your bus pass ). Hotel bar nearby, good food & beer. The Flock in serve good food as well, especially their lamb pasties & cream teas.

We loved the location, and inside the flat almost everything was great, the only problem was the bed. Very uncomfortable and noisy. Reason why we had to leave one day early as we couldn't do another night in the bed. Location and surroundings were perfect for us. The village is small and quiet, exactly what we needed. Thank you!

It was a perfect base for checking out Scarfell, Hellvellyn and Catbells, aswell as so many other walks we couldnt believe. The house was had everything you needed for a comfortable stay and with the riverside pub down the road and the yew treRead moree tearoom you had the opportunity to really treat yourself to some incredibly tasty food! Loved our stay and cant wait to come back Hide

Couldn't of asked for a better location!!! Surrounded by mountains which made us very happy, got to do some epic mountain hikes right from the doorstep. The cottage was cosy, warm and had everything we needed, but could do with updating.
