There are lots of outdoor activities in the local area, including sailing, climbing, 4x4 off-roading, and horse riding. For adrenaline junkies why not try Go Ape or visit the local Alpaca centre where you can walk an Alpaca.

As you approach the front door of Far Wescoe, on your right, is a useful heated laundry room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, WC, and basin. It offers a practical place to store wet coats and walking boots. Enter into the hallway with exposed beams and a staircase to the first floor. To your left is a large utility room and further down the corridor a cosy snug with leather sofas, exposed beams, a wood-burning stove, and a large smart TV. Opposite the snug is the formal dining room with exposed beams, a feature fireplace, a large wood burner, and an original serving hatch to the kitchen. The dining room leads onto a stunning conservatory from where to soak up the incredible panoramic views or read a book. Out of the conservatory leads into the beautiful hand-made kitchen which has its original Honister slate flooring, antique butcher's block, and feature fireplace. it is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, and fridge/freezer. Next door is a lounge with uninterrupted views to the fells. There is a large walk-in bay window with a table and handmade wooden bench seating. There is a wood burner, smart TV, exposed beams, and comfy seating to kick back and relax. From the kitchen there is a second staircase with access to the first floor. On the first floor, you will find a king-size bedroom with exposed beams, fell views, a built-in wardrobe, and an original basin. There is a large double room with fell views and a bathroom featuring an original cast iron bath, WC, and sink, plus views towards Lonscale Fell. The third bedroom is a pretty twin with exposed beams and extensive storage. The final bedroom is another spacious double with basin unit and views over the open countryside and fells. Beautiful location with wonderful views. However for 7 adults the hot water frequently ran out (after about 3 showers only) and the west bathroom shower pressure was non-existent. A parasol for the garden furniture would have been helpful during the heatwave! If you're going for a celebration take your own flutes as there were only 2 on site.

Cottage is lovely and very clean & views are fantastic, definitely needs another proper shower to accommodate 8 people. We would definitely stay there again even though we had an issue which took a while to be resolved.

A lovely cottage in fantastic location, Well equipped and very clean. Stunning views and a great location for walking and exploring this area (and further afield due to road links) of the full lakes area. The views are stunning, the bedrooms are decent sizes and there is plenty of character. We were really lucky with the weather and enjoyed sittingRead more out late into the evenings. Lovely cottage with beautiful views. Some improvements such as a shower in the second bathroom would be good but we all still enjoyed our holiday.

This cottage is in a beautiful setting with fabu;ous views. A minor niggle was the constant noise from the main road below but otherwise very peaceful. The parking arrangements are awkward but probably not soluble, apart from the gate which could be easier to use.

Stunning views, could have just sat by the windows all week and not done any walking at all. Layout/number of rooms worked really well for our group (family, age range 4 - 62).

Wonderful cottage in a fabulous location. Garden well fenced for dogs, although a small one might be able to get under the left hand side of field fence where the farm chickens and brown hares come and go! Yes, there are hares and red squirrels, both seen! Very comfortable and thoughtfully furnished and the cleaning team do a great job!
