A rurally positioned converted barn on a 100 acre, working cattle and arable farm, this is the perfect countryside getaway to the west. Close to the pretty Helford River and six miles from the town of Helston, it’s also equidistant between Falmouth and Penzance. Best of all it’s on the Lizard Peninsula and within driving distance of the attractions and places of beauty including Mullion Cove, Coverack, the Seal Sanctuary at Gweek, Kynance Cove and Lizard Lighthouse, the most southerly point on the British mainland. The Lizard is almost like a separate country from the rest of the county of Cornwall with its wooded coves, secret rivers, uncommon geology, unusual cafes and quaint villages. The Lizard also has some great surf spots along the western edge, specifically the characterful Gunwalloe Cove. Within a couple of miles is allegedly the best pasty shop for miles if you fancy an easy traditional Cornish supper.
This tasteful barn conversion is one of two properties, so for large group bookings this could be the ideal solution. On arrival you will find a welcoming lounge with an Smart TV, DVD and French doors that lead out on a patio. The large kitchen/diner comes equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, dishwasher, dining table and a second set of French doors. Also on the ground floor is shower room with WC. Upstairs is a master bedroom with a king-size bed with an en-suite shower room with WC. Nearby is another bedroom with a king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be converted into a twin on request). The third bedroom is a nice twin. Also on the first floor is a bathroom with bath and WC.
Outside, each property has its own private patio with garden furniture and a hot tub. Across the courtyard is an exciting games barn that contains table tennis and pool tables, go karts, scooter, tricycle, skittles along with young children’s play equipment. There is also a basketball hoop outside for all the family to join in the fun.
