Ideal for a small family or couples, this charming Norfolk flint cottage complete with woodburner for cosy nights is located just a stone’s throw from long stretches of sandy beach.

The popular coastal village of Bacton offers a range of local amenities including a pub, shops, cafes and a traditional fish and chip shop all within walking distance as is the sandy beach. If you want to head out to explore for the day then why not hire a boat at Wroxham (14 miles), gateway of the Norfolk Broads National Park which boasts miles upon miles of scenic waterway which can also be explored by foot or bike, where you can stop off at one of the many riverside pubs for a nice meal or a drink or two. Cromer (11 miles) and Sheringham (16 miles) offer a larger array of traditional seaside fun with piers, amusements, restaurants and independent shops.

You enter this charming and cosy mid-terraced property via the front door and arrive in the lobby area where you can kick off those sandy boots and head in to explore the property. Into the well-equipped kitchen that has everything, the chef among you needs to prepare a hearty meal with the use of an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. From the kitchen towards the back of the property, you have the open plan lounge/dining area which is a great place to relax and unwind on one of two comfortable sofas which surround a Smart TV/DVD player and a wood burner, perfect for chilly and dark winter nights. If you decide to eat in of an evening or just for a spot of lunch, then there is a dining table and four chairs. There is a downstairs bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC which is located off the kitchen. Due to the age of the property, there is a steep staircase that leads up to the master bedroom which is a double room and bedroom two which is a twin room both of which have plenty of space to hang up your clothes or store away personal items.

The rear, enclosed courtyard area is accessed via the lounge and is a lovely spot to enjoy a morning coffee, some evening cocktails or indulge in some al-fresco style dining on the table and chairs provided. There is free unallocated on-street parking outside the front of the property.

Excellent location, so close to the sea front, which was a several times a day walk. The cottage is well equipped with all you need & more. Just be careful if youre tall like us, its a true quaint seaside village cottage & you need to duck! We found a fab cafe down the road, a chippie that did gluten free! & a convenience store if you need, all in Read morevarying walking distance, which we loved as meant no driving on some days. A great base to explore the surrounding villages & beaches. Would return. Hide

This is a superbly located cottage, a stones throw from a sandy and often quiet beach, and shops and cafe at Walcott. It is compact (we stayed with 4 people plus a large dog and coped fine) but very well equipped. Plenty of child and dog friendly walks and activities nearby. We had a wonderful time - thankyou!

Nice clean cottage two minutes from dog friendly beach. Lovely gravel courtyard garden. 2 good size bedrooms but downstairs is smaller than photos suggest as is bathroom. We thought double mattress was uncomfortable and needed replacing. Easy to park outside cottage every day but this was before main holiday season.

This is a fantastic location in a quiet village with access to an amazing beach. There are shops and a pub within walking distance but equally lovely to stay at home. Comfortable beds and quiet back yard. Great for dogs. The bathroom is downstairs and the stairs are steep but this adds to the charm of the cottage.

Lovely comfortably cottage. Great location near the beach to walk the dogs or yourself. Local pub very friendly and welcome dogs. The cafe does great breakfasts especially if you are a big eater also dogs allowed inside aswell as out. The only thing we were upset with was we missed the northern lights.

Situated on a quiet street a stones throw from the beach this property is a gem. Just bear in mind that parking during peak times could pose a problem. The location is ideal for those who wish to get away from the main tourist areas. Would recommend a visit to Carmel Cafe, which provides excellent service. It may be Vegan, but dont let that put youRead more off as the food is excellent and has been sourced with great care. An amble down to the Lighthouse Inn is recommended. Hide
