A detached barn conversion in a small hamlet. Conveniently located for sandy beaches in Devon and Cornwall.

Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this barn enables guests to unlock the spectacular Hartland Heritage Coast with its breath-taking rugged coastline, pebble beaches, abundant wildlife and rolling deep blue seas. Set close to the quintessential fishing villages of Appledore and Clovelly, Hartland Peninsula is known for its amazing landscape and has played host to many TV and Film productions. Drive to either Devon’s Westward Ho!, or Cornwall’s popular Bude with miles of sandy beaches to spend memorable days surfing, swimming or sunbathing.

This charming barn is quietly situated amongst a handful of other properties with its own private driveway. Park and unload beside the barn and plan your adventures. Heading into the barn you find yourself in the open-plan lounge/diner with a wood burner, a Smart TV/DVD, exposed beams, and limestone flooring. Moving on to the kitchen, this has underfloor heating and is well-equipped with an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and a washer/dryer. Heading up the staircase to the bedroom which has a double bed, exposed beams, and views of the surrounding countryside. The shower room completes the accommodation and has a shower, Velux window, sloping ceiling, exposed beams, and WC.

Stepping outside is a small, enclosed garden with a patio and garden furniture. There is allocated parking for one car (additional parking on request) This property has a private water supply.

Lovely, cosy cottage with everything you need for self catering. Beautifully clean and well maintained. A safe enclosed small garden for the dogs as well. Just perfect. Lovely, quiet location within easy reach of so many must-see places. Clovelly for one (idyllic) together with Hartland Quay (wow!) and Bucks Mills. The cottage was spotlessly clean, comfortable and so well equipped. Beautifully clean and welcoming cottage. Lots of equipment, comfy beds too. Extremely friendly owners who were there if needed but left you to your own devices. Small hamlet but lovely walk to Hartland Quay via Spekes Waterfall and cream tea at Docton Mill. Best scones Id tasted! Lots to see as bad t try o in the area, would thoroughly recommend.

Great property, ideal for exploring the local area. Whether you want to walk locally direct from the cottage, there are the tea rooms and waterfall, or going the other direction is the village of Hartland with a great pub for dinner, it is ideal for walks with the dog. The cottage was beautifull,set in a beautiful location,slim roads,but this was on the holiday app,which wasnt a problem,just be mindefull and drive slowly.The cottage was comfortable, warm (central heating and a log burner). A fantastic holiday in a great comfortable cottage. We enjoyed our stay so much we are hoping to come back next year. The garden is fully enclosed so great for my two large dogs and having parking directly outside is a plus. Once you work out the best route down the lanes its a lovely quiet location.

Vines Cottage is an amazing place to stay. Extremely clean and comfortable, well equipped and in a very quiet location. Within a couple of miles are some good pubs with restaurants and close by beaches at Bude. After a day out coming back to the cottage and it being so cozy was just what we wanted, plus the garden was very secure for our two dogs, Read moreso we didnt need to worry about any escapes! Had a perfect weeks stay in this beautiful, peaceful cottage. Comfortable and cosy but roomy enough for two adults & two dogs. The kitchen is very well equipped and the enclosed garden great for the dogs. John the host was very welcoming and gave us some useful hints and tips on the local area. We had a lovely stay in this well appointed and characterful property despite intermittently atrocious weather. The hard flooring helped with floor cleaning for our tow, often wet, dogs. The enclosed garden was especially useful for the dogs routine activities. Quiet roads made for easy local walks. We really enjoyed our stay at Vines Cottage and John (the owner) made us feel very welcome The cottage was very clean, comfortable and cozy. We were sorry to leave, but hope to return again one day.

A lovely small cottage, ideal for 2 people, well appointed. Ideally located for some local walking and access to the coast only a few miles away at Hartland. Stayed here twice now due to the fact we can go off without the car for the day. Nice and clean and all mod cons included.

A beautiful cottage, very well appointed and equipped in a lovely quiet location. Just beware the potholes on the approaching narrow lanes. What a wonderful cottage well appointed and well equipped. A lovely garden for our dog. This was our first holiday cottage having had to give up our motorhome and if all others are to this standard we will be more than satisfied. John and his wife were excellent hosts and were extremely helpful when we had difficulties with our car. A warning. Remote location - exactly what we wanted for the month we were there. A few pot holes on the narrow lanes, but manageable if driven slowly. The cottage offered everything we needed. The hosts were so helpful and we had the best week! The location seemed remote, but we soon got to grips with the country roads and found that we were situated perfectly for everything that we wanted to see! Would definitely stay there again!

We had the most amazing stay at vines cottage. Its cosy and quaint with everything you could possibly need whilst away from home. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming and hospitable and nothing was too much trouble.

Cottage was beautiful, really good size for a 1 bed. Decor was lovely. Well equipped kitchen. There was some goodies on arrival, which were very much appreciated. The garden was lovely and perfect for the dogs, it was completely enclosed, which was very important for us. Lovely property for two, nice enclosed garden that was ideal for our small Spaniel. The property is a bit tricky to find and is well away from the main roads and quite bumpy. Good to find a holiday home that you can walk to the coast along quiet tracks. Ideally placed for all that North Devon/Cornwall has to offer, would definitely return.

Vines Cottage is very well equipped, comfortable base for exploring the North Devon coast. We visited in January and made full use of the facilities including the woodburner and spacious kitchen. We found it ideal as a couple with two small dogs. Especially helpful was the enclosed rear garden. There are some very nice pubs nearby and only a short Read moredrive to visit local points of interest such as Clovelly and Hartland Quay. Hide
