If you are a foodie, head to one of the local farm shops with delis and tearooms and where you will see farm animals grazing in the paddocks. The historic market town of Richmond is just 5 miles away with much to offer. Explore the cobbled market square or stroll up towards Richmond Castle for a slice of Yorkshire history. Head north to Barnard Castle, its streets lined with independent shops, cafes and art galleries. Bowes Museum is also well worth a visit.

Dine around the table with your loved ones and enjoy your home-cooked feast. After dinner, head through to the lounge and sit back on one of the comfy sofas warmed by the wood burner, before turning on the Smart TV for a relaxing movie night. Completing this floor is a cloakroom. When it's time to turn in, head downstairs to three stylish bedrooms, all of which are king-size; one has a private en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC. We loved staying at Broom Barn, would 100% recommend. The house was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed. Location was fab, with amazing views all around, particularly when enjoying them from the hot tub!
