One of three amazing newly built (2022) cottages in a traditional Lakeland design, ideal for a family or group getaway in this wonderful, picturesque region.

Set in the Lakeland countryside, this retreat is just over 1 mile from the well-known village of Cartmel with a choice of local shops, pubs, and fine dining along with the Cartmel Racecourse. Heading north, you can explore the southern areas of the Lake District, with the edge of Windermere (6 miles) and Coniston Water (15 miles) nearby. Or head east and visit the historic town of Grange-over-Sands and walk along the promenade with views to the bay. This stylish accommodation is the perfect base from which to discover the scenic Lake District and Cumbrian coast.

The open-plan living space is ideal for morning coffee at the island breakfast bar before you set off for the day. The kitchen boasts everything needed to prepare a feast, an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and microwave. There are patio doors that lead straight out to the patio with amazing views over towards the estuary. The lounge offers 2-seater sofas surrounding the wall-mounted TV and electric fire, perfect for a cosy night after a busy day out exploring the lovely Lakes. There is a ground-floor WC here too. Head up to the first floor to rest where there are two bedrooms, both with king-size beds, TVs, and an en-suite shower and WC each.

Step through the doors and onto the patio area to sit and take in your lovely surroundings. There is on-site parking for up to two cars.

  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £25. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

House is suitable for two couples. Kitchen could be better equipped needs few more pans,baking sheets,scissors and a jug- if you are intending to cook you might want to take your own.The fridge /freezer is actually a fridge with a small ice box -made smaller as icebox needed to be defrosted .Bedrooms are good sized and enough hanging space for clotRead morehes .Garden has a wooden picnic table ,but nothing comfortable for enjoying any sunshine.2 good dog walks into Cartmel 25-30 minutes Hide

Very nice cottage , lovely surroundings. A few additions to the cottage internally would be beneficial. We would happily return.

A lovely cottage just lacking in some basic kitchen items ie. Scissors better kitchen knives for cooking and a smaller saucepan

Easy to find, new cottage, looks beautiful but cleanliness needs work. Housekeeping company came out when we complained.

Well situated and built recently to a high standard, insulation and heating great for Autumn . En-suite bathrooms good quality and extra toilet downstairs useful. Basic furnishings downstairs , kitchen reasonable equipment . Good base for exploring local villages. Limited immediate area for dog to be off lead . No recycling bins / boxes provided. SRead moreparse living area not enticing to sit in of an evening but may be nicer to sit in the outdoor area which has lovely views with doors open in summer Hide

Really lovely accommodation and situated in a quiet rural setting. Ideally located for visiting Lake District towns and attractions. Perfect for 2 couples as both rooms had en-suites. We have suggested a few tweaks that we feel would enhance the property but would thoroughly recommend it and will more than likely return.

Couldn't find any fault with this cottage, lovely and clean, nicely furnished and very comfy beds and well equipped. The cottage also provided iron and ironing board and hairdryer which was not on listing. Although set amongst other farm building and cottages, didn't hear a thing. Overall very relaxing and peaceful setting. Only around 1.5 miles frRead moreom Cartmel village via country lanes. Hide

The location of the cottage was stunning, beautiful views across fields & the bay. It was spotlessly clean & holiday company was very responsive. The cottage is 1.5 miles from Cartmel. If you walk via the road it takes 25/30 mins. We preferred the cross country route (start at public footpath opp driveway) which takes you across fields, down a tracRead morek and to back of the racecourse (approx 40/45 mins). Keith, Estate Taxis was great. Unworths Yard-live music, pizzas, Oscars-tapas, pubs-great food. Hide

Lovely well presented house. Home from home, loved our weeks stay there. Would be more helpful if Holiday cottages showed the exact location before booking as located down a single track road, which could be a problem for some.

A lovely, relatively new and modern property with great views over the countryside to the sea and west facing for glorious sunsets. Well presented with contemporary facilities.
