A traditional farmhouse set within the heart of a working farm on a country estate, simply furnished and surrounded by countryside and well-waymarked footpaths from your front door.
Set within the heart of a working farm within a country estate within the Herefordshire countryside, there is plenty to explore by foot when you can access the waymarked footpaths. Alternatively, spend a lazy afternoon spotting wildlife at the small lake that is just across from the farmhouse. Set close to the Welsh borders and within easy reach of the Black Mountains, Elan Valley and Shropshire Hills, you’ll not be short of picturesque walking and cycling whatever the time of year. There are many National Trust properties nearby including The Weir Gardens (14 miles), Croft Castle (10 miles), and Berrington Hall (16 miles) to name a few. A variety of festivals run throughout the year such as The Three Choirs, Ludlow Food Festival, and the famous Hay-on-Wye book festival.
Enjoy the drive across the estate land before you arrive in the heart of the working farm. The farmhouse offers spacious accommodation that is suitable for families and groups. You access via a porch that has plenty of space for coats and boots. From here a stable door leads into the kitchen/diner. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, American-style fridge freezer, and dishwasher. For dining, there is an area with a generously sized table and chairs for eight. From here you can access the lounge, perfect for relaxing with an open fire and TV. There is a lobby to the side offering access to a utility room with a shower and WC along with the staircase to the first floor. Here you will find a snug with a TV and a sofa, perfect for teenagers wanting their own space. There are four bedrooms: a super-king-size zip-and-link (that can be made into twin beds on request) with an en-suite shower and WC; another super-king-size zip-and-link (that can be made into twin beds on request); and two doubles with a vanity. There is also a bathroom with a separate shower over the bath and WC.
Outside, guests can enjoy a spacious enclosed garden with a table and chairs and BBQ, or relax in the hot tub. Whilst the garden is enclosed, it does have an open aspect onto the surrounding farmland. Guests are welcome to explore the estate by the waymarked footpaths available from the farmhouse.
