The cottage was as described. It was small but cozy and comfortable. The garden was perfect to sit in when the sun shone. The nearest shops are in Hawick; we found the Morrisons to have everything we needed. We liked Wilton Lodge Park where our teenage grandson could play football and putting and the cafe was good. We took trips out to Abbotsford aRead morend Traquair House which were both interesting. We took the train from Tweedbank into Edinburgh which takes you right into the centre of the city. Hide

This cottage is one of the nicest we have ever hired, warm, cosy and well equipped. We appreciated the friendly welcome and there were flowers, biscuits and milk for us on our arrival. The secure bike storage in the shed was accessible and very adequate.
