Ambleside is one of the Lake District’s most vibrant towns, there is a great selection of shops, restaurants, outdoor activities, two cinemas and a fantastic park with mini golf and tennis courts. Popular with walkers and climbers, there are many walks from the town and plenty of visitor attractions nearby including cycle trails and water sports. From Lake Windermere (0.5 miles) take a ferry to Bowness, Brockhole or Lakeside Pier near Newby Bridge with rowing boat or motorboat hire.

Deer are regular visitors to the garden of the main house and there’s nothing better than watching them bask in the sunshine. The views from the other side of the room are just as appealing, with a stunning vista over the classic Lakeland walk, The Fairfield Horseshoe. With its comfy sofa, smart TV and dining table for four, this sun-filled room invites you to relax. Off the lounge you will find a cosy beamed south-facing double bedroom and a modern bathroom featuring a shower over the bath, and WC, perfect for relaxing after a day in the mountains or sightseeing.

The cottage is very well located. Near enough to Ambleside for easy access to shops, bars and restaurants, yet far away enough to escape the night-time noise such establishments inevitably create. The facilities within the property cater for pretty much every need. A fully equipped kitchen, a lounge with large TV and plenty of seating and a dining Read morearea again with plentiful seating. Two well appointed bedrooms and a small but comfortable bathroom complete the accommodation. Wonderful. Hide

Myself and my parents stayed at Iveing View for 2 nights in May . All aspects of the accommodation were outstanding. It was clean, well furnished, extremely comfortable and the owners are very approachable and made us feel welcome. The kitchen is amply stocked with equipment. The cottage is extremely close to Ambleside town centre (5 minutes walk!)Read more. Its also a great base for exploring the wider Lake District. We will certainly have no hesitation staying here again. Hide

Great cottage in a superb location, 4 minute walk into town. The cottage is very well equipped with good quality bedding and towels and very comfortable throughout. Lovely views from all the windows and is very private and quiet with one off-road parking space. Highly recommend and would most definitely stay here again.
