Fabulous base for families and friends to get together in the pretty market town of Keswick. A great base to explore the Lakes either on foot, bike, car or bus. The town is known for the local fells of Skiddaw and Blencathra, or you could conquer the stunning Catbells, popular with walkers of all ages and abilities (all within 7 miles). Skiddaw is more challenging, a slightly longer, higher walk at over 3000 feet, and on a clear day you can see for miles. Take a stroll to Derwentwater half a mile away, where there are eight jetties to sail from and you can hop on and off the boat to explore. Visit Theatre by the Lake and take in a show, then head to Crow Park which is opposite to get a 360-degree view of the mountains along with stunning views towards the exceptionally beautiful Borrowdale valley.
