The cottage is also perfect for exploring the Dales, with Brimham Rocks (9 miles), Stump Cross Caverns (9 miles), and Pateley Bridge (5 miles) all nearby. No trip to this area would be complete without a day out in the spa town of Harrogate (20 miles) – this elegant town is bursting at the seams with antique shops, cafés, independent boutiques, restaurants and, of course, the famous tea rooms. There are no limits to the number of cycling trails and walking routes you can explore, or visit the nearby Gouthwaite Reservoir for some spectacular waterside views. Yorkshire is renowned for its annual cycling event, the Tour de Yorkshire, and welcomes many cyclists to the area.
This charming, semi-detached, stone-built cottage sits back in a peaceful location and offers everything you need for a relaxing stay. The cosy living room, with a traditional beamed ceiling, open fire, and a comfortable sofa with warm throws, invites you to grab a good book, curl up and relax. There’s a Smart TV with an Amazon Firestick, as well as games and books to keep you entertained. The kitchen has stylish shaker-style units and oak worktops, and is fully equipped with an electric hob and oven, a slim dishwasher, and a fridge. The cupboards are stocked with all the equipment you’ll need during your stay. Gather at the table to enjoy your home-cooked meal, enjoying the pretty view out to the cottage garden and its local birdlife that frequent the feeders. Return from your walk via the rear entrance which lets you into a handy utility room – perfect if you are a bit wet or muddy! Hang your coats to dry and wash any of your clothes in the washing machine. You will also discover a freezer and a downstairs WC. When it's time to turn in, head upstairs to bed; there are three attractively dressed bedrooms – a double and two single bedrooms. Start your morning refreshed by having a nice hot shower in the shower room with a WC.
The cottage is gifted with two wonderful outdoor spaces for you to either enjoy your morning brew or an evening glass of wine. The front garden is busy with local birds and has a well-positioned bench where you can sit quietly and take in this tranquil spot. Or, dine alfresco while admiring the hills and moor from your enclosed private patio at the back of the cottage. There is off-street parking (subject to availability).
