This central village cottage is perfect for couples and small families wanting to stay in a Grade II-listed traditional Peak District cottage. There is a popular pub and a variety of shops a short walk away.

The village of Bradwell is set within the rolling hills of the Peak District National Park. Enjoy exploring the variety of public footpaths that pass through the village, or enjoy the array of amenities on offer, including popular local pubs and shops. The villages of Hathersage (4 miles) and Hope (2 miles) offer further local amenities, including Hope railway station which makes this cottage easily accessible by both rail and road. Guests can explore the Blue John Mines and caves at nearby Castleton (3 miles) or take a hike up the famous Mam Tor. The spa town of Buxton, the market town of Bakewell, and the stunning Chatsworth House and Gardens are all within 10 miles.

Step into the hallway with space to hang your coats and store your shoes. There is a ground-floor twin bedroom and a handy shower room with WC, and a nearby washing machine. Head up to the first floor where you will be welcomed into the spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This impressive room offers a high ceiling and large windows which let the light flood in. The staircase is open so care must be taken at all times. The kitchen area offers an electric oven and gas hob, fridge, freezer, and microwave. There is a nearby dining table to enjoy a special meal, and plenty of comfy seating to come back and relax on in front of the roaring wood burner and Smart TV. There is a bright and airy double bedroom that offers pretty views over the village and an adjacent bathroom with a shower over a bath, sink, and WC.

Situated next to the owner’s home is a spacious garden where a section has been reserved for holiday guests staying at this cottage (privacy is assured). This is a great place to sit and enjoy the summer sun and a glass of something chilled, whilst overlooking the surrounding mature trees and countryside. There is off-road parking for one car.

The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. There are 2 small supermarkets, a Fish and Chip shop and a pub serving good food all within easy walking distance. Also an ice cream shop serving locally made ice creams! Bradwell is a good base for visiting the Peak District.

We made a last minute booking for two nights at this tastefully decorated, modern conversion of an old coaching inn. Very well appointed with all the equipment youd have at home. We had a dog with us and there is a large private garden behind the owners home which we could take her into. Pubs and shops all within easy walking distance. The propertyRead more is bright, comfortable and modern in a very pretty village. The owners couldnt do enough to make us feel welcome. Thoroughly recommend! Hide
