Tasteful and peaceful, this beautiful dog-friendly lodge with oak beams, a private decked area, and views over the North Devon countryside would suit both families and friends.

Situated on the outskirts of Barnstaple in a quiet location this wonderful lodge offers open-plan accommodation. The market town of Barnstaple is under 2 miles away and has a plethora of shops, pubs, and restaurants. The coastal town of Instow is only 8 miles away, offers a dog-friendly estuary beach and in the summer season, you can catch a walk-on ferry across to Appledore. A day at RHS Rosemoor which has over 65 acres of woodland and stunning gardens and is only 14 miles away. For walking enthusiasts, there is the South West Coast Path or a 9-mile drive takes you to Exmoor National Park with magical moorlands and woodlands to explore.

Step through the gate onto the decked area and this will lead you to the patio door to enter this stunning lodge. The open-plan lounge/kitchen is a light and airy space with oak beams and is a great place to relax after a day's adventure. The lounge area has a large comfy sofa, a wood burner, and a Smart TV, perfect to cosy up and watch a favourite movie with friends and family on cooler evenings. The kitchen is a great space to entertain and try out new recipes with the well-equipped space including an electric oven and hob, fridge with a small freezer compartment, dishwasher, and microwave. There are two bedrooms, one of which is a double and one a twin room. The family bathroom has a wet room and WC.

Outside, there is an enclosed decked wrap-around balcony with outdoor furniture and a charcoal BBQ so you can spend your evenings dining alfresco overlooking the scenic countryside. The lodge offers a large field to the front of the property, perfect for dog walking. There is parking available for two cars with level access from the parking area.

We had a fantastic week at Bailey Lodge. The Lodge was immaculately clean, comfortable and had all the comforts of home. The outside decking area was private and secure for our dogs and the views were amazing across the Devon countryside. The Lodge was beautifully decorated and the beds comfortable. We briefly met Rob before we left and had a chat Read morewith him, great host, great communication throughout. The location was ideal for exploring all that North Devon has to offer. We'll be back! This lodge is amazing! Set in a lovely location with beautiful views where our kids could play safely. The lodge is so nicely laid out with a sofa facing the view. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated and the beds are really comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with a small fridge (with freezer compartment), dishwasher, all cutlery and crockRead moreery needed plus enough things to bake and cook well. Bailey Lodge was everything we wished for. Quiet location, beautiful view, every home comfort, spacious and spotless. Conveniently located for exploring North Devon. Supermarkets just 5 mins away. I can highly recommend Bailey Lodge and would definitely book again.

Fantastic lodge with beautiful views and surroundings. Well-equipped and spotlessly clean with great furnishings. Couldn't fault it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and very comfortable holiday. The 2 dogs really enjoyed exploring the field and love the beaches.

We had a great stay at Bailey Lodge. Its a stunning place; peaceful, tastefully and simply furnished, comfortable with everything you need provided. The view from the balcony is gorgeous and the welcome from Rob and his ongoing support and care throughout our stay was really exceptional. Thank you . We had the relaxing break we needed.

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable week. The owners are very helpful and we appreciated the welcome pack of milk, wine, chocolates and dog biscuits. The cabin is well located for visiting the beaches and is within walking distance of Barnstaple with plenty of country walks with or without a dog. Our favourite for eating out was the New Inn in Read moreGoodleigh and is dog friendly. There is plenty of literature about the area provided by hosts. Hide

Beautiful lodge. Lovely decoration, calm peacful location. Beautifully clean. Not within walking distance of shops but we were very happy driving around exploring the North Devon area and were able to stop at shops etc on the way. Highly recommend.

What can we say, Bailey lodge is one of the most if not the best holiday,, for the view, access to many landmark's, you arrive and park in your own site, and everything is on one level, with thought's of disabled wheelchair users with wide doors, large wet type shower room, very clean and new, Rob & Anne are usually about and are so friendly and hRead moreelpful. the decking is just wonderfully suitable for the barbecue late into the night with the outer lights on. large area to play or dogs 5 Stars Hide

Lovely property - well thought out and equipped. We loved the beds and the bedding - very comfortable. We stayed for a few days, two friends and two labradors and the property worked really well for us. Rob was there when we arrived to show us around and was available to answer any further questions we had. While in the area we concentrated on dog Read morewalks and the beaches are stunning. Little bit late leaving this review! We stayed at Bailey Lodge in August 2022. Rob was an amazing host, so attentive and friendly, gave us some great tips on where to go and visit locally! We loved it so much, we have booked to come back in April 2023! Very doggy friendly, beautiful views, very cosy, if youre thinking of booking, dont hesitate!
