Situated on the edge of the Lakes, refurbished to a high standard with a contemporary feel, this property is the perfect place to enjoy time together in the sociable rooms and fabulous garden after spending the day adventuring.

This property is set in the beautiful Lake District National Park near the town of Cockermouth which is only 4 miles away and has an abundance of eateries and shops so you will not be found wanting. Keswick (12 miles) is a tourist hot spot, which provides an array of independent shops, galleries, and parks to enjoy all on the shores of Derwentwater. Bassenthwaite Lake (6 miles) is the most northerly lake in the region and is a great place to head out on the water. On the northern shore of the lake, the Lakes Distillery offers tasting tours and is also home to a bistro and a group of resident alpacas that visitors can hand feed. Enjoy the long sandy beaches of the Solway Coast which is less than 10 miles from the property.

Enter the striking stone-built detached cottage and be welcomed into the kitchen/diner, which has all the stylish touches and appliances including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, cafetiere, and a coffee bean grinder. The washer/dryer can be found in the utility area. Head on through to the dining room with its quaint décor, which is complemented by the dining table with seating for all, perfect for a family games night or reading a book. Slip through the door to the lounge, styled with a seamless blend of contemporary comfort and charm. The plush L-shape sofa invites you to tune into the TV and DVD player with wood burning stove for those cosy evenings. The elegantly appointed double bedroom boasts refreshing hues, ensuring that sleep comes easy at the end of a busy day. Next door is the shower room with WC. Head on up to the master bedroom where you are greeted by the plush king-size bed, and the third and final bedroom has a single bed. Completing this floor is the family bathroom with bath and WC.

Enjoy fantastic sunsets on the enclosed patio on which you can bask in the warmth perhaps enjoying a tasty meal cooked on the BBQ. There is a lovely large lawn area, perfect for kids and four-legged friends to run around on. There is ample on-site parking for three cars.

Sunnybrow cottage is in a lovely little village, nicely decorated, with having all the amenities and equipment that you would need. When we arrived (family of 4) we were very pleased to see how clean it was, with a nice welcome pack on the table to greet us.
