The pretty village of South Perrott is ideally placed for touring both Dorset and Somerset, as it sits right on the border and is surrounded by verdant countryside as well as good road links. The charming town of Beaminster is 3.5 miles away and has well-regarded bistros and a choice of pubs. Within 13 miles are many great attractions lining the Jurassic Coast, including picture postcard Lyme Regis, Charmouth, West Bay, and Eype, or head inland and visit the National Trust Montacute House, Tintinhull Gardens, or Lytes Cary Manor. From the lane, a private entrance door leads into this beautiful thatched cottage.
Once inside you are met with a striking hallway with an original flagstone floor (uneven in places and with 1 step down). To the right is a comfortable lounge with a decorative fireplace and Smart TV, and to the left is the cosy dining room with a second feature fireplace and space to enjoy leisurely meals together. Leading on from here is a stunning and sociable kitchen/dining room, with a pantry leading off from it. Next to the kitchen you will find the utility room. Also on the ground floor is a light and bright conservatory, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee, and a stylish bathroom with a shower over bath and WC. From the entrance hall, an open tread oak staircase rises to the first floor where there are three bedrooms, a double which has an en-suite shower room, a further double, and a single bedroom with an additional pull-out trundle bed.
Heading into the garden via the sunroom you will find a walled courtyard area and low steps up to a second terrace with garden furniture under the shade of an old apple tree. The garden is fully enclosed with an area of lawn and a vegetable patch, which guests are welcome to help themselves to seasonal fresh produce.
