Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with an abundance of moorland paths and walks to ancient stone circles, this cosy studio-style barn is approached by a rural lane and short gated track that leads both to the property and the owner's adjacent farmhouse. The home is also positioned near the small, scenic village of St Breward (2 miles), well known for its granite and china clay quarries. The thriving community supports a pub and restaurant that have been serving food and drink for nearly two centuries. Both the north and south coasts are easily accessible by car, as well as the Eden Project (19 miles).

Upon entering this home through the front door, you’ll find a porch, handy for kicking off those walking boots after a day of exploring. An inner door then leads into an open-plan, split-level lounge/kitchen/diner running the length of the property - with whitewashed stone walls and exposed cross beams in the apex of the roof. At one end there is a kitchen/dining area with an electric hob and oven, fridge, microwave, washing machine and a pine table with chairs. The ideal spot to sit and plan the day's adventures with a cup of tea. A wide archway and one step then leads up to the living/sleeping area with a wood burner, comfortable two-seater sofa, TV, and a double bed. In the far corner, a door opens to the shower room with a shower and WC. Making your way outdoors, there is a level lawn, attractive gazebo, outdoor seating, and BBQ to the side of the property for visitors’ sole use. From here footpaths lead directly onto the moors. There is private parking provided for guests right outside the front door.  We are sorry but this property is not suitable for Electric Vehicle Charging. Loved staying here its out the way and peaceful, if your expecting good internet this is not for you, there is enough but very patchy. The location is remote and you are on the moors with the wildlife around you. Mike and Nicky are excellent people and make you feel welcome from the start, Mike has a wealth of knowledge about places to visit. The pRead morelace is homely and to a high standard, log burner if it gets too cold, although next door we were not bothered but they were there if needed Hide

Unique opportunity to be in the moors, without artificial light in the evening so the sky is absolutely beautiful! Peaceful location and a nice welcome from the owners, felt relaxed and energised after a week there

Ideal location for travelling around Cornwall, the cottage was perfect for two adults and a dog. Nicky and Michael were excellent hosts and the duck's and chickens roaming around was quite fascinating.

Superb location in its own right and for visits to the coast (even in very wet and windy conditions). Warm welcome and helpful tips to make the most of our stay, avoiding some of the crowds.

From the day we arrived to the day we left, we had an amazing experience. The 'boffy'was more than we expected. Cosy, warm and wanted for nothing. Moorland on your doorstep which we took full advantage of. A walk to ' rough tor' a must as the views were stunning. Pub only a short walk. Be aware the portion sizes are on the large size....
