A cosy yet stylish cottage for four guests with a private garden nestled close to the Cathedral city of Ripon

This property enjoys a convenient location in the city of Ripon in North Yorkshire. Ripon's small size makes it a delightfully accessible city, with the centre just a mile from the property's front door. There is an excellent range of shops and eateries, three interesting museums and a variety of attractions, including Ripon Racecourse. The city is perhaps best-known for its cathedral, an imposing structure with a history dating back to the 7th century. Just outside the city (under 4 miles), the atmospheric ruins of Fountains Abbey make for a wonderful day trip, whilst the Nidderdale AONB is just 11 miles away and the Yorkshire Dales 15 miles away providing a spectacular backdrop for enjoying relaxing walks.

Attached to the owner's home is this completely renovated cottage offering stylish and contemporary accommodation for friends and families seeking an escape to the Yorkshire countryside. The interior boasts a wonderful, open-plan social space, incorporating a kitchen, dining area and lounge. The kitchen has been equipped with everything you could need to rustle up delicious meals including an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, slimline dishwasher, microwave and Tassimo coffee machine, whilst the dining area provides the space to enjoy your meals over a well-deserved glass of wine. After dinner, relax on one of the comfortable sofas and watch a film on the wall-mounted Smart TV or just simply play some music in the background whilst planning your next adventure. There is an additional room on the ground which is great for children with a sofa- bed and Smart TV. Venture up the stairs to the first floor to discover two well-appointed bedrooms – a double and a twin room. Both are furnished with comfortable beds for a restful night’s sleep and space to store your belongings. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, and a WC.

Outside is a tranquil patio and tiered garden on two upper levels where you can sit peacefully and listen to the local birdlife while you enjoy a glass of your favourite tipple in the courtyard patio. The garden is fully enclosed and there is off-road parking for one car.

Ideal small cottage for a couple, only a 15 minute walk into the town centre where there are many bars & restaurants. We took our two dogs & found a field walk within a few minutes walk of the cottage. Cottage was immaculate & well equipped. Would definitely stay again

Excellent cottage, everything you would need was provided. Very quite. No traffic noise at all. Lovely welcome basket. Very clean. Makes life easy having off road parking. Easy walk into Ripon 20/30 minutes. Also handy being off the main A61 to travel out if needed.

A beautiful, clean, warm and comfortable cottage. It is in a very quiet setting even though it is only a short walk away from the centre of Ripon. A lovely place to come back to after exploring the Dales and the Moors and our dog loved the secure garden!

It was a lovely break for our family. The welcome pack was very special and added to our feeling of being away. Great hosts and a creative cottage we really appreciated. Good dog walks and seeing a heron along the river was lovely. Great location for getting to many different areas of yorks and further away.
