Set deep in the Monmouthshire countryside, this open-plan bungalow is the perfect base for enjoying the great outdoors.

Cae Deini enjoys a peaceful location just 1.8 miles from the historic village of Raglan, which has a good selection of pubs, a village store and the Raglan Country Estate, complete with nine-hole golf course, restaurant, coffee shop and children's playground. Raglan is probably most famous for its stunning 15th-century castle that has dominated the landscape for over 600 years and is definitely worth exploring. Raglan Farm Park has quickly become a family favourite too and if you miss "Lambing Live" there are plenty of  play areas to keep the 2-11 year olds occupied. The Brecon Beacons National Park and the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are both within 10 miles. For those that like mountain walking, you will be spoilt for choice, with the Skirrid and Sugar Loaf within 13 miles and offering incredible 360-degree views. There are many picturesque river walks and trails through the forest and along the River Wye. For families, the area is teeming with things to do, from ancient castles to more modern history at Big Pit, Blaenavon (16 miles) and The Brecon Mountain Railway (27 miles). This area has a vibrant events calendar with festivals including the Abergavenny Food Festival, The Green Man and Hay Festival of Literature.

This beautifully presented bungalow offers open-plan, single level, accommodation finished with a contemporary style. There are two entrances into the open-plan living space. Step into the main entrance with utility room - perfect for storing coats and boots -featuring a washing machine and a WC. From here you access the main living space, with comfortable sofas and Smart TV, and plenty of room for you to relax after a busy day exploring. The kitchen area is spacious with a central island with sink, an electric oven, microwave, induction hob, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. A breakfast bar with stools is perfect for a morning coffee while the dining table and chairs easily seats four. There are bi-folding doors that open onto a terrace perfect for summer dining. There is a small hallway leading to the bedrooms: an increased accessibility king-size with en-suite wet room with shower and WC, and a twin bedroom with en-suite shower room and WC.

Outside the gardens are enclosed, with a raised deck for the table and chairs, (a great space for dining and relaxing), also a further lawned area which is also enclosed. There is off-road parking for three cars and storage for bikes. A key fob is available on arrival for the electric gates.

This is an amazing property. Beautifully clean and spacious. Ideal for my disabled husband. So peaceful sitting on the terrace with the only sound being bird song. We would thoroughly recommend this bungalow. We visited Raglan Castle and The Newport Wetlands Trust both well worth a visit.

Quiet location; very well appointed, 5 minutes off the Main A40 road, so links to Brecons, Chepstow, Cardiff etc is easy, however the 1 mile to the property down a narrow country lane effectively plants you in the middle of the countryside. You can't hear any traffic, apart from the odd tractor going past. Nice walk from property through the fieldsRead more to Raglan castle. Fabulous food at nearby Hall Inn and Cripple Creek Inn. If you have limited mobility or use a wheel chair this property works well. Hide
