Dodd wood is only 1.5 miles away, where you can enjoy a network of walking trails that lead to the summit for spectacular views across the Northern Lake. Explore the North Lakes on foot, by car or even hop on a bus, this is the perfect location to get out and about. Just 5 miles from Cat Bells and you have Skiddaw on your doorstep! Mirehouse and Gardens are well worth a visit on a nice day, less than 2 miles away, or visit Theatre by the Lake (6 miles) and take in a show.

This first-floor apartment is accessed via an external stone staircase up to the front door. Entering the property, you will find yourself in the open-plan lounge/kitchen area. The views from the lounge are breathtaking and the high ceiling with traditional beams gives you a sense of the age and history of this building. Relax on the comfy seating, read a good book, watch the TV or cook up a storm in the kitchen, which has an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge with a freezer compartment. Off the lounge, there is a spacious twin bedroom. Next door is the formal dining room where you can catch up over breakfast or a delicious evening meal and make plans for the days ahead. Head up the stairs from the dining room where you will find a mezzanine level that has a double bedroom. Heading back down to the first-floor level, off the lounge you will find a family bathroom with a free-standing bath, shower, and WC.

We had a lovely week at the loft. It was clean, well equipped and in a good location for exploring the northern lakes. Lovely views from the balcony, even spotted an Osprey! Owner/manager both very welcoming and informative about local walks and things to do. We walked a circular of Skiddaw from the cottage, Keswick is a ten minute drive. Little biRead moret of road noise from the a591 but otherwise no complaints! Hide
