This luxury holiday accommodation in the heart of the Swansea Valleys is the perfect countryside retreat, complete with stone circle, outdoor sheltered seating area and wigwam.
The barn is located just 3 miles from the village of Pontardawe, on the periphery of the Brecon Beacons National Park; a perfect base to explore Wales at your own pace. Enjoy easy access to Swansea City (14 miles) or the Gower Peninsula (16 miles) to the south or head north and explore the Black Mountains (5 miles) or Brecon Beacons National Park (20 miles). For family days out, Dan Yr Ogof Showcaves can be reached in just 9 miles, Carreg Cennen Castle (7 miles) or take a picnic to Margam Country Park (15 miles).
As you enter the property you are welcomed into an open-plan kitchen/diner. The whole barn was renovated in 2021 to a high standard blending the traditional features with modern function. The contemporary kitchen has been equipped with an induction range cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is ample dining space for six around the farmhouse table and additional seating on the leather sofa making this kitchen/diner a relaxed social space. The lounge can be found adjacent to the kitchen, down two steps. There are two leather sofas and a separate snuggle chair to relax on, all centred around the wall-mounted Smart TV and a wood burner. It's the perfect spot for unwinding in front of the fire after a day of exploring the local area. Down a further couple of stairs are two of the three bedrooms. There is a super-king zip-n-link bedroom (can be made up as twin beds on request) and a double room. The rooms have been beautifully decorated and furnished throughout and share a 'Jack and Jill' shower room with a freestanding shower and WC. Upstairs on the first-floor mezzanine level, you will find the master bedroom with a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath, separate shower and WC.
Externally, the barn enjoys a generously sized garden laid to lawn with a patio area and outdoor seating area to enjoy dining alfresco. For the best sunsets, head up to the end of the garden with a bottle of something chilled where a cosy, romantic seating area and shelter have been provided. Relax and enjoy a soak in one of the twin cast iron bathtubs placed on the patio, completely secluded from view. There is also a stone circle and willow wigwam to explore and enjoy. To the front of the property, there is off-road parking for up to three cars and an EV charging point (rates payable with owners).
