A beautiful barn conversion, this studio-style cottage is ideal for lovers of the great outdoors and superbly placed for walkers and cyclists alike.

Located in the heart of Ceredigion, this lovely cottage was once an old stable and cowshed and has been lovingly renovated to provide a cosy haven in a peaceful location. Close to both the Cors Caron Nature Reserve (9.5 miles), which supports a wealth of wildlife and includes a lovely circular riverside walk, and the stunning Cardigan Bay coastline (10 miles), this property is the ideal base for enjoying fresh air and freedom. From Cardigan Bay, you can venture out on a dolphin-spotting boat trip, take a dip in the water or enjoy some of the sandy beaches – Tresaith Beach even has its own waterfall. If you fancy a day shopping, there are plenty of lovely independent shops and an abundance of great places to eat in the bustling town of Aberystwyth which is just over 14 miles away. The seafront also boasts the oldest pier in Wales and is perfect for an evening stroll.

Cross the gravel front patio and enter this delightful stone cottage to find yourself in the very pleasant open-plan space with exposed beams. The kitchen to your right is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer, and has a real traditional feel with a rustic slate floor. The open-plan bedroom/lounge/diner, which is down one step from the kitchen, is tastefully decorated and furnished and complete with reclaimed wooden floors. It includes a lounge suite and dining table and chairs for planning adventures or curling up in front of the TV/DVD player. When it’s time to get some rest, you’ll find a cosy king-size bed to drift off in with wardrobe and bedside tables for storage. Just off from the kitchen is a separate shower room with WC, also with a slate floor.

At the front of the property, you can enjoy a lovely south-east-facing patio complete with garden furniture and coal BBQ – an excellent space to have a drink. You’ll also find a bike shed and bike washing facilities as well as parking for two cars.
