Property code: 88398

One of three barns set deep in the Warwickshire countryside, perfect for families. Make the most of the hot tub, far-reaching views and spacious open-plan living areas.

Set deep within the countryside, this peaceful property enjoys the best of both worlds, with the vibrant market town of Alcester only 3 miles away where you’ll find a host of shops and places to eat. There is plenty for families to explore, while walkers can enjoy the countryside along the Arden Way or a gentle stroll beside the River Avon. For culture, take in Ragley Hall, Coughton Court or Mary Arden’s House; and for a family day out visit Cadbury World (pre-book), Warwick Castle, Alcester Heritage Centre, All Things Wild or Hatton Country World. There is also a fantastic events calendar with many festivals and county shows throughout the year.

Enjoy the views from the elevated position of this barn, one of three on a development that has been configured with great accessibility for wheelchair users. The barn offers wide doors, with a spacious single-level ground floor that is perfect for families getting together. A cosy lounge area with a corner sofa and Smart TV offers a space to unwind or socialise. A dining area features a large table and chairs which is perfect for sharing home-cooked meals in the evenings, prepared in the sleek kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. There is also a ground-floor WC. For wheelchair users, a vertical lift provides access to a first-floor bedroom. This room features a profiling bed with hoist and ceiling track, along with a further single bed, and there is an en-suite wet room with a shower, shower chair and WC. A separate staircase offers access to a spacious landing with a choice of two bedrooms: a double room with garden views, and a twin room. There is also a family shower room with a double walk-in shower and WC.

To enjoy the gardens, guests can open the sliding patio doors and step out onto the single-level patio. Here there is a table and chairs for summer dining and a wood-fired hot tub that has a wooden pergola with a hoist. There is off-road parking for two cars.

Enjoyable stay at Buck Cottage, clean, comfortable place with a stunning view across the fields. All the hoists and lift were in good condition and easy to use which made the holiday for my disabled son.
