This cottage is perfect for a ‘get away from it all’ break for couples and families with older children. A pet-friendly cottage is cosy and full of character surrounded by nothing but peace and tranquillity.

This quiet location is a delight for those who love hiking, cycling, and nature spotting. Situated less than two miles from the quaint, cobbled village of Longnor which provides an array of shops and traditional pubs. Nestled just below the top of a ridge between the Dove and Manifold valleys Longnor provides an excellent starting point for many walks, ranging from short ambles by the river to serious upland treks. Along with the spa town of Buxton (10 miles) and the lovely market town of Bakewell (12 miles) and not forgetting the stunning Chatsworth House, gardens, and a farm shop just 15 miles away. For the young at heart and a fun-filled day, Alton Towers is only 17 miles.

Step inside through the low threshold doorway which adds to the character of the cottage where you will find the hallway offering hanging space for coats and a place to store muddy boots. There is a separate utility room with a washing machine, accessed from outside. Heading into the kitchen/diner there is an electric oven and hob, fridge, and microwave, with a dining table and chairs to seat all. The cosy lounge is the perfect place to retire after a day hiking the hills. Relax on the comfortable seating in front of the TV and light the wood-burner on chillier days. Head upstairs to the master bedroom with a king-size bed and plenty of storage for your belongings. There is a further single bedroom with a sloped ceiling and skylight. The bathroom offers a shower over the bath and WC, so don’t forget your bubble bath if you enjoy a long soak.

Outside there is a private patio accessed via a flight of external steps with outdoor furniture, providing a lovely space to sit and enjoy the fresh air. There are further seating areas dotted around the grounds where you are welcome to sit and enjoy the views, including a small private woodland. There is off-road parking for two cars.
