The old market town of Kirkby Stephen is just 4 miles away, set at the foot of the Howgill Fells in the upper Eden Valley, between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks. Here you can browse a wealth of quirky shops, bars, and eateries, or enjoy a picnic where ‘Frank’s Bridge’ crosses the River Eden.
Dust off your muddy boots and coats as you step into the entrance hall of this charming cottage. Bursting with character and with beams throughout, you will feel instantly at home in the comfortable lounge. Cosy up on the sofas in front of the open fire and watch a movie on the Smart TV after a day of exploring. Moving through to the spacious kitchen/diner, you will find a lovely dining area with a farmhouse-style table set in front of a wood burner. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need, including an Aga, electric oven and hob, fridge, and coffee machine. There is a handy utility room off the kitchen with a microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine, and tumble dryer. Heading upstairs are the first two bedrooms: a double and a single, both with breathtaking views over the surrounding countryside. There is also a large and stylish family bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. Climb the final set of stairs to find the third bedroom, a king-size with plenty of space and a TV with a Wii console to keep the family entertained on a rainy day.
