Set in a peaceful location with amazing outdoor space, this is a great getaway for a family or friends wanting to explore the southern lakes and fells, and sandy beaches at Haverigg & Silecroft (4 miles). Walk up Black Combe, a southern Wainwright, visit the nature reserve at Hodbarrow, go trekking on Clydesdale horses on the beach or fell, visit the mystical Swinside Stone circle or the market town of Broughton in Furness with welcoming pubs and cafes (all within 3.5 miles). Enjoy paddleboarding and rowing on Coniston Water, picnic on the banks or visit the shops and museums (13 miles). Visit the picturesque, unspoilt Duddon Valley and take the ultimate drive over England’s steepest road at Hardknott Pass. The green train station can take you up the coast where you can visit the Ravenglass and Eskdale steam railway. The local pub and park are just 2 minutes walk from the door.

This well-presented bungalow has been thoughtfully designed with a focus on comfort. Relax on one of two armchairs or the three-seater sofa in the lounge and catch up with a favourite programme on the Smart TV. The kitchen/diner is perfectly equipped to cook up a lovely meal to sit and enjoy in the dining area with oak table and chairs, and patio doors that open out into the garden, bringing the outside in on those sunny days. Just off the kitchen is the utility area. Off the hallway are the three bedrooms: the master king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room with a WC, a double, and a twin. Completing the accommodation is the bathroom.

Heading outside to the enclosed garden, you will find a patio area with seating to enjoy some al fresco dining using the charcoal BBQ. There is also a large lawn area with seating for you to relax; a lovely spot to catch some sun, and great for children and your four-legged friend.

Lovely bungalow in quiet location with well enclosed garden safe for small child and dog. Comfortable and cosy. Plenty of space for 2 car off road parking.

The property was well equipped with a big family kitchen and modern bathrooms. Ideal garden for anyone taking dogs away. We were lucky with the weather and found some lovely local walks. A trip to Ulverston is worth doing, particularly for the fresh fish shop and butcher.

Lovely bungalow, clean, comfortable, well equipped and a beautiful, safe, garden for our two small dogs. Great base to explore the area, especially the beaches. The bungalow is a beautiful home. It is well planned and comfortable. The dining kitchen overlooking the garden is a lovely place to spend time and the garden is very dog friendly. There are plenty local walks with beautiful views and the beaches of Haverigg and Silecroft are within easy reach.

A very clean and comfortable house with a beautiful big garden. It is ideal for dogs and my dog loved the garden. It is a nice quiet area. I like to cook, and had all amenities. I would advise that you need a car to get out and about but there are some lovely dog friendly beaches, the best being haverigg and also enjoyed walking around RSPB hodbarrRead moreow. Staying at the cottage for 2 weeks was like home from home, one of the best cottages that we have stayed at very comfortable.The garden was very secure for our Cavapoo.Have no doubts in recommending the cottage 1st class accomodation.

A lovely spacious bungalow, well equipped and clean. The garden is fairly large and totally escape-proof for dogs. We had a lovely week staying there before moving on to the Borrowdale Valley for a week.

We had a lovely week at Rose Lea. The house was very clean, comfortable & well equipped. Our two Setters loved the large garden & the secure fencing gave peace of mind that they could not escape. The peaceful location was perfect, with lots of places to visit within easy reach. All in all, Rose Lea exceeded our expectations.

Absolutely beautiful bungalow lovely size rooms fantastic showers in place and very well equipped for all our needs. We stayed at Rose Lee for 3 nights in the new year and we loved it. Ive never stayed in such a well equipped holiday home. The kitchen was fantastic and the board games and Netflix were an added bonus. Its a very spacious bungalow and we had no problems whatsoever. We visited the aquarium and zoo whilst there, both were 30 minutes or so drive and tRead morehe kids loved both excursions. Cottage was brilliant for our needs, I was on crutches everywhere was easy including the garden. Our dog was able to roam freely around large garden nowhere to escape. Cottage location was good for beaches. our favorite being Haverigg the quite and bird life is great. Overall we had a great week. .6th to 13th October.

Wow! What a find! A perfectly presented cottage with everything you need. Such a perfect location to explore the Lakes. And a VERY dog friendly beautiful garden, all stock fenced so even the smallest dog could not escape. A family of five adults had plenty of room and comfort throughout the cottage.

Brilliant well equipped cottage, very comfortable and homely. Very accessible for anyone with mobility problems. Garden lovely and great for dog as was totally enclosed. Located in a lovely village and would recommend the village pub.

The property was lovely especially the dining room looking out onto the garden where we spent most of our time with the weather been absolutely gorgeous. and spending time out in the garden on an evening relaxing with cold beers and wine.
