This beautiful, traditional lodge is located on the edge of Londesborough Park a magnificent estate which is part of the Yorkshire Wolds Way. Through the park, you may spot red kites, walk through fields of farm animals and spot wildlife on the ponds. The quaint rural town of Market Weighton is located 3 miles from the lodge with a regular farmers’ market and a picturesque duck pond. The town is full of independent shops, inviting cafes and local pubs. The East Riding coast is less than 30 miles east and the beautiful historic city of York is 20 miles west.

Drive up to the lodge through the historic iron gates and admire the beautiful surroundings. Through the gated garden and into the entrance hall on the left-hand side is the lounge with comfortable sofas, a Smart TV and an open fire for those cosy winter nights. On the other side of the house, there is a large dining room which is bright and spacious with two large windows looking out onto the estate, a great space for family meals or game nights. The country-style kitchen is to the back of the house, fully fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge with icebox. The washer/dryer is in the separate utility room. Climb the wooden staircase to the beautifully decorated bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC; relax in the tub full of bubbles while overlooking the rolling fields. The master bedroom is the first one you’ll come to, with period features and plenty of storage – wake up to beautiful views from the cloud-like king-size bed. The second bedroom is to the front of the house with a king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into 2’ 6" twins on request).

Parking is right outside the lodge with space for three cars. The garden is enclosed with traditional decorative railings. The rear of the property is where the chickens can be found; cook up a freshly laid egg for a delicious breakfast (seasonally) In the evening, enjoy the peaceful country sounds while relaxing on the garden furniture as the BBQ gets going.

Really lovely cottage and location. The cottage retains many of its original features and all of it's charm. The setting is superb, right next to Londesborough Park, and includes a large enclosed garden for dogs or children to run around in. The owners were very helpful and left a really nice welcome pack

An absolute GEM of a place! Perfectly clean with a HUGE welcome basket packed with goodies for the whole family (even the pooch)! The Lodge is beautifully decorated and big enough to "breathe" in. The history of the land and the hall is fascinating and the village of Londesborough is absolutely delightful. There are birds (including kingfishers) anRead mored deer and even the odd badger to see if you're lucky. The garden is very secure so you don't need to worry about your dog or children getting out. The Lodge is a lovely house with beautiful views. It was clean, well equipped and we appreciated the extras: (chocolates/wine/biscuits and fresh eggs). We were aware that there is a right of way for walkers within the property's boundary, so were prepared for steady traffic. However, the terrible TV satellite signal and the poorly flushing toilet wRead moreere a bit of a downer. Being used to old house issues, we lived with these and took ample solace in the wildlife and general charm of the place. Hide

A rustic cottage set in the country side. Lovely garden. Good location. Easy parking. Lovely welcome pack left for us on arrival. However cottage was very cold and did not retain heat. Flies in the bedroom and poor television signal (kept cutting out) meant sadly we returned home early. Would not stay here again.
