Situated in the beautiful Kent countryside, this enchanting shepherd’s hut offers a peaceful escape from the everyday hustle and bustle with plenty of footpaths that link up to surrounding villages and are perfect to explore the rolling countryside. Within 200 metres is the village pub and just a little further is the recently restored Chillenden Windmill - a great place for enjoying the Garden of England. Nearby attractions of Goodnestone Park Gardens, Howletts Park and Wingham Wildlife Park, all within 6 miles. Canterbury is 10 miles away and offers boutique shopping and the opportunity to visit the famous cathedral. Those who fancy a relaxing beach day can enjoy the coastal towns of Sandwich and Deal, both of which have plenty to do and are within 9 miles.
Inside, the hut has been decorated to evoke a cosy and romantic feel. There is a well-equipped kitchen area with an induction hob, combination oven/microwave and fridge with icebox. A dining table with bench seating offers an ideal spot for enjoying a romantic meal or a game of cards in front of the wood burner on chilly evenings, and a vinyl record player with a collection of records offers a nostalgic trip back in time. The double bed sits at one end of the hut beneath dual-aspect windows and conveniently folds away when not in use. The shower room has a walk-in shower and WC with an electric towel rail to ensure that guests have warm fluffy towels each morning.
Outside, the hut has an enclosed, secluded garden area with a wood-fired cedarwood hot tub from which you can enjoy the stunning countryside views. There is a table and chairs for enjoying al fresco meals using the charcoal BBQ and an outdoor sink. There is also a delightful fire pit area with cosy seating – just perfect for toasting marshmallows under the night skies.
