This charming home, renovated in 2022, is set in the popular Lakeland village of Cartmel in the south of the Lake District. Cartmel itself is a hub for foodies and includes a very popular restaurant, boutique shops, and an amazing day out at the racecourse. If that isn’t enough, the amazing Lake Windemere is 9 miles away; explore the many well-known towns and villages on its shores. Why not take the lake cruise from Lakeside and head up to Bowness, Windermere, or Ambleside?

Head through the front door into the comfortable open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Settle down in the lounge area to watch a film on the Smart TV in front of the wood burner on chilly evenings. The bespoke kitchen area is well equipped. Here you can rustle up a meal and enjoy it at the table and chairs and plan the following day. Heading out of this room upstairs, you will find a spacious king-size and double bedroom, and a state-of-the-art bathroom with a designer shower.

Heading outside, you can enjoy the stunning views from the slate-floored enclosed patio with garden furniture - perfect for those warm summer evenings.

A really lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Perfectly equipped with gorgeous fixtures and fittings. A real home from home. Situated within a five minute walk from the centre of Cartmel and its amazing pubs and restaurants. Loads of great walks from the cottage too. Comfortable and well equipped generally. The parking permit system worked well whilst we were there in September. Some late night disturbance from the nearby pub on the Friday and Saturday. Cartmel is a lovely village...very peaceful at this time of year, and is close to other destinations worth visiting.

We had a great stay at the Bothy - the house is clean, cosy and comfortable, with pretty much everything you need. The welcome pack was fantastic, really made us feel at home, and gave us a chance to sample some lovely local products. Cartmel is a beautiful village, with great options for eating and drinking, all very dog friendly, which was much aRead moreppreciated, and the larger town of Grange just 10 minutes away for more amenities. Lovely cosy little cottage complete with a parking permit would you believe. Couldn't be better situated. Owner is lovely man & very kind & helpful. Was greeted by him & a welcome pack. Great little pub next door & shop across the road. Also a lady selling perennial plants not far do leave a space in your car. Bargain. Will definitely return. The cottage was fantastic, well equipped with little extras, we appreciated the logs and kilndling as it was chilly the first few nights. Its in a perfect location in this beautiful village a few minutes walk to centre. Small patio area at back was well used as weather improved as week went on. It was nice to come home from a busy day touring and sRead moreit there with a glass of wine. The pub a few doors along was very friendly with a nice beer garden. The owner was very helpful. Fabulous cottage. Spotlessly clean. Had everything we needed. Wood burner was lovely. The owner was lovely very friendly. Nothing too much trouble. Would definitely stay again if we were to stay in cartmel.

A beautiful cottage it the perfect location in the village. Next door but 2 from the Pig and Whistle which is a great pub. Across the road from the amazing food shed and round the corner from the convenience store. The centre of the village is only a 5 minute walk. It really is a prime position. Beautiful cottage, 5 minutes from the centre of Cartmel. Very cosy and excellent access for exploring the lakes. Cartmel has wonderful pubs, wine bars and shops to make your stay truly enjoyable.

Lovely little cottage. Great location, a couple of minutes walk to the village square. Parking permit provided, no problem finding a space. Compact but perfect as a holiday home. Two good sized bedrooms, comfy beds, and immaculately clean. Wood burner for cold evenings with a supply of logs provided. Fabulous cottage - great location and lovely space downstairs with spend together. Cottage was spotlessly clean and both bedrooms are decent sizes. Would definitely recommend as a place to stay in Cartmel. Owner was helpful and communicative. Cartmel is a great village - good pubs and places to eat. An amazing two bedroom cottage, each bedroom is sizeable so no quibbles for holidaying couples. The place is spotless and lovely colour schemes throughout. Very comfortable furnishings and all facilities in perfect working order ie shower, fireplace and all white goods. The owner actually gave us additional logs for the fire, an added bonus. The coRead morettage is in a perfect location only a short walk into the Cartmel square, pubs, racecourse etc. We would strongly recommend to all. We'll be back. Hide

My friend and I had a wonderful stay in the cottage in Cartmel. It had everything we needed and the garden at the back overlooking the field was gorgeous. Location was perfect and everything in the village was within easy walking distance. The owner couldn't have been more helpful in the run up to our stay and during too. The Bothy is a beautiful cottage clearly lovingly transformed into a fabulous holiday home. Immaculately clean, comfortable beds, wood burning stove and comfy sofa and chairs. Everything you could want is provided. The outside area is spacious with great garden furniture and a BBQ. Its close to a pub but there was no excess noise or disturbance.
