In the village of Winskill in the Eden Valley situated between the North Pennines and Lake District, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village boasts a fantastic play park across from the property which younger visitors will love, also a heated outdoor swimming pool (open from May to September). Visit Lacy’s Caves (6 miles) or enjoy a lovely walk following a loop to ‘Long Meg and her daughters’ – a huge Neolithic stone circle and along the River Eden. The Rheged Centre, sits in England’s largest grass-covered building (9 miles), enjoy exhibitions, a movie, or take part in one of the creative classes on offer. From the neighbouring village of Melmerby (3 miles), take to two wheels and tackle the Hartside Pass and visit Alston England’s highest market town, with cobbled streets and quaint buildings. Enjoy a train ride on the famous Settle to Carlisle railway line, Langwathby station is less than 2 miles away.
As you walk into the property you will find yourself in the bright hallway with the lounge on the left with its Smart TV and space to play board games. A snug opposite with a bookcase and sofa, is the perfect place to read or do a crossword. There is a handy downstairs WC in the hallway which has storage for coats. The bright open-plan kitchen/diner with bi-folding doors sits at the end of the hallway and this room offers a great social space to catch up and make plans for the days ahead. Off the kitchen area, you will find a utility room. Head upstairs to the first floor where there is a master king-size, en-suite bedroom with a Juliet balcony. There is a second king-size bedroom, a twin and also a zip and link king-size bed (which can be made up as twin beds on request). There is a family bathroom mid-landing and a handy storage cupboard which is ideal for storing your luggage.
On a nice day, open the bi-folding doors and enjoy al fresco dining on the patio. The enclosed garden has stunning panoramic views over the fields and fells, you may even have the odd visit over the fence by some cows and sheep in the surrounding fields.
