A great choice for couples wishing to tour rural West Dorset and the Jurassic Coast as it's conveniently set beside the A3066. This property has a homely ambience and its own private terrace, which is fully enclosed. Beaminster has a good range of amenities including well-regarded restaurants and a choice of pubs. This area attracts many walkers as the picturesque countryside is home to sights such as Pilsdon Pen (6 miles), Ham Hill (14 miles) and the Cerne Abbas Giant (14.5 miles), which are all within easy reach. 5 miles south you will find the eclectic market town of Bridport or head 1.5 miles further to ever-popular West Bay. There are many attractions within 11 miles, including Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Eype, Burton Bradstock and Abbotsbury.

A shared drive leads to the property, which is attached to the owner’s home, yet assures privacy. Once inside, you are met with a stylish open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with the contemporary kitchen area set to the left and comfortable seating with a Smart TV and dining area to the right. A door leads from here to the inviting super king-size bedroom and just opposite you will find the bathroom.

Heading outside and up a short, shared path to the side of the property will bring you to the enclosed gravelled terrace and small wildlife pond. There are steps up to it and furniture ideal for enjoying a sundowner.

Our first impressions of the property were positive. It was clean and tidy, and spacious, with pleasing decor and furnishings. Very nice cottage clean and comfortable. Good location within walking distance of Beaminster which is a lovely little town. Welcome pack of scones and cider a really nice touch.

A lovely place to stay. This venue is well presented and you are greeted with a lovely welcome treat. Though we never met our hosts, the communication was excellent. A charming cottage, very tastefully decorated with all home comforts, including a fabulous queen size bed! Moreover, it is situated perfectly for a short walk for a good pub meal as well as to go exploring the county, or even skipping over into Devon! An absolute gem!

The old Police house is brilliant. The owners make you feel very welcome and the property has everything you need. It's also in a great location to explore different parts of Dorset. Would recommend to family and friends.

This is a charming cottage in the beautiful small town of Beaminster. It was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The delicious scones and fudge waiting for us on arrival was a lovely treat. We enjoyed several walks straight from the cottage and there are a good choice of pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommend.

Excellent accomodation in a lovely location. Helpful and friendly but not intrusive owners. Nice welcome package on arrival. A proper home from home equipped with everything you could need. Large comfortable bed and a hot shower ready to use whenever you needed it. Lots of easily accesible places to visit with in a short ride.

A great base from which to explore the wonderful Jurassic coast. Clean, comfortable, well equipped and good value for money.. Beaminster is a beautiful village with all amenities for eating and walks if you don't want to venture too far.

Beautiful property. Very clean and well equipped. Lovely big comfortable bed. Great location on the edge of the town with lovely walks across the road for our dog. Good base to explore Dorset. Lovely welcome gifts of home made fudge and scones, delicious! Very dog friendly.

This is a delightful place to stay. Very comfortable and the owners do everything possible to make the visit a happy one. Beaminster is a friendly little town and there are wonderful dog walks really close to the Old Police House. Highly recommend it.

Wow what a find! The hosts are wonderful and the cottage is immaculate. The homemade scones and fudge is amazing!!! We spent our 1st wedding anniversary here and the hosts even left some bubbles in the fridge. Thank you so much. Will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at The Old Police House. A very clean and comfortable cottage with much appreciated treats on our arrival (especially the fudge!!). This small but extremely comfortable house is well placed for a walk to the facilities of Beaminster or a drive to the various beautiful places within west Dorset. There were lovely welcome gifts of scones and fudge. What a delightful property - situated just a few minutes walk from the bustling centre of Beaminster, and some great pubs and restaurants. The hosts did a great job of presenting the cottage and making us feel welcome. Everything felt brand new and spotlessly clean, and comfortable.

The weather was cold during our stay but the property was lovely and warm. The bed was very comfortable. We made full use of the walks round Beaminster with our dog. From the property it was only a short walk into lovely Dorset countryside . Beaminster is a lovely , friendly market town to explore.

The cottage is really cosy and in a fantastic location. There's a bunch of good restaurants in Beaminster, and would particularly recommend the Ollerod pub. The scones/cider provided by the owners was also a lovely bonus - would definitely recommend.

Fantastic stay in the old police House. The bed was queen size and I'm sure I read King size in the information/description but it was lovely and big. Overall the cottage was clean, tidy and had everything we need there. Even the towels in the bathroom were a Bath Sheet, so nice to have a decent size towel. A fab stay with great weather too.

A very comfortable and stylish place to stay - just the right size for 2 people. It was in easy walking distance of the town which had a good selection of places to eat out.
