Enjoy coastal life at this modern house (built in 2022) accommodating up to eight guests. Situated within Whitby, it offers good access to the surrounding North York Moors National Park. Whitby is a town that offers something a little different from your ‘typical’ coastal resort. The ruins of Whitby Abbey stand dominantly on the clifftop and can be reached on foot by climbing the 199 steps from the old town. Stroll along the cobbled streets and visit some of the quirky shops or stop in one of the local fish and chip cafes for lunch. Whether you take a trip on the steam train through the North York Moors or explore the pretty fishing villages of Robin Hood's Bay (6 miles) and Staithes (10 miles), this superb property is ideal any time of the year.

Be welcomed into a large hallway with plenty of space for sandy shoes, walking boots and coats. Head into the kitchen and dining area where there is a large family sized table for eight people. The well-equipped kitchen is a delight to cook in. Come together around the table for breakfast and plan the day. Later, after dinner, wander through the double doors to the lounge. Open the door to the patio and garden and extend your space in the warm balmy summer evenings. Completing the ground floor is a separate WC. When it's time to turn in, head upstairs to the first floor to the spacious bedrooms, each room has ample storage for clothing. The master bedroom offers a king-size bed with an en-suite shower room and WC; enjoy your morning coffee on your private balcony with views across the meadows in the distance. The second bedroom has a super-king-size bed. Completing this floor is the family bathroom. Head up to the second floor to find two further twin bedrooms suitable for adults and children.

Outside, is a lovely rear garden, great for your canine companions and for enjoying the warm weather from the sun loungers. Dine alfresco at the dining table and toast to your Yorkshire getaway. Hot Tub hire is also available as part of your stay.

Great house and Amazing comfort It's a fair walk to the main bit of Whitby itself, the walk along the seafront was lovely however.

We had a wonderful stay at Dairy Cottage. The location is absolutely perfect for walking into town, to the beach and to the local park. All of the bedrooms were comfortable, spacious and decorated beautifully (as was the rest of the house). The garden was very secure which was perfect for our young family. We would happily stay there again.

We had a lovely holiday at Dairy Cottage. The house was very well equipped and had everything we needed. There were plenty of hooks and rubbish bins - things that are often lacking in holiday homes - and the house was comfortable and the garden secure for our dogs. Excellently situated, we left the car behind most days and walked where we wanted toRead more go. We had a really lovely meal at Sneaton Castle, a 5 minute walk up the road. Owner was friendly & helpful. Would definitely return to Whitby. Hide

A beautifully appointed, spacious house in a nice quiet location, not too far from Whitby town centre or the nearest (dog friendly) beach and it's within walking distance of a supermarket and a pub/restaurant. There is parking for 2 cars on the drive but also room for another car to park on the road in front of the property. The house itself is verRead morey comfortable and it's even possible to see Whitby Abbey from the top floor bedroom. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dairy cottage. Hide
