This cottage is perfect for families and friends wanting to be situated within the heart of the Peak District with easy access to its many attractions, whether on foot, by bike or car. Within 3 miles, Carsington Water offers activities such as cycling and water sports to enjoy, and miles of picturesque waterside walks. The unforgettable Chatsworth House and Farmshop (16 miles), Hardwick Hall (23 miles) and Kedleston Hall (12 miles) are great for days out, as are pretty towns and villages such as Matlock Bath (8.5 miles), Ashbourne (5 miles), Buxton (18.5 miles), and Bakewell (14 miles) all of which boast an array of independent shops and restaurants. Don’t forget to stop for a Bakewell pudding.

Step into the kitchen/diner and notice the beautiful, exposed beams that feature throughout the property. There is all you need to cook a family meal including a beautiful range oven which lends a farmhouse feel. Find handy storage within the utility room along with a washing machine. There are two beautiful lounges to choose from, a cosy lounge with wood burner and Smart TV for long evenings relaxing by the fire, and a newer addition of a bright and airy lounge with lots of light through the picture window and skylight, perfect for curling up with a good book. The dining room is a wonderful space to sit and enjoy a celebration meal with good company. Heading upstairs you will find two king-size zip-and-link bedrooms (which can be made into twins on request) offering ultimate flexibility, and one double room. One bedroom has an en-suite shower room with shower and WC, and there is a main shower room with shower and WC to serve the other two.

The enclosed garden offers a lovely spot to sit and enjoy the fresh air with outdoor dining furniture, perfect for summer meals outside.

A wonderfully comfortable cottage right at the heart of all things Peak District. Easy travelling to key locations. With the tranquility of being in the middle of nowhere but just 10 mins into Ashbourne with it's shops, square and independent cafes. Easy also to Chatsworth, Bakewell and everywhere in between.

Lovely cottage with plenty of space. We liked the two sitting rooms so that you could go in one to be quiet away from the tv. Having the extra fridge in the utility basement was a bonus too. The utility area was really useful to store wet coats, walking boots etc and also nice to have the washing machine. Parking outside the house was awkward but pRead morelenty of room on Mill Lane round the corner. Hide

We had a fabulous weekend and the cottage was perfect in every way - beautifully fitted out with thoughtful attention to detail. Although there were only 4 of us, the cottage is really spacious for 6 people. We will definitely book again when visiting family in the area.

Very interesting use of 3 cottages made into one. Lots of space and everything that we needed was there. With the steps and stairs visitors with mobility or sight difficulties would just need to take extra care.

Beautiful cottage very well equipped. We had a lovely restful week. Weather was very kind to us and we had a week of sunshine. Beds were very comfortable and the shower was excellent. Extra room downstairs was very handy for the grandchildren to go in in the evening, would definitely recommend and use again. Thank you

The cottage was such a pleasant surprise Home from home. Clean and spacious and very well equipped It has a few steps in and out of bathrooms also a few rooms downstairs so not suitable with anyone who has health issues with walking etc The parking is only for one car but if you move the bins around you can eventually get the one car parked

Beautiful, spacious, spotless cottage in a very idyllic village. The cottage is very recently done up with all the mod-cons, but still retaining the period charm. The beds are very comfy, the main shower is powerful and the kitchen is large and easy to work in. We liked the availability of the second lounge overlooking the back patio. The location Read moreis great - close to several walking trails including Dovedale and the Tissington Trail. We would love to stay again! Hide

Nice cottage good location. Had Some initial cleaning issues but were sorted good space downstairs but bathroom halfway upstairs and size of en-suite bit challenging for older visitors!!

We loved our week away at Hall Cottage. Its a wonderful property in a peaceful village. We also enjoyed visiting Carsington Water, which is close to the cottage.

Lovely comfortable property, which is well appointed throughout. Everything is fully working and well presented and clean on arrival. The sofas are comfy, as are the beds and there are ample cups plates glasses pans etc. There was plenty of hot water and fluffy towels to use. The only downside is that there are some doors which really need a 'mind Read moreyour head' sign but I have recommended this Parking says two cars but really only one can get off road, however, you can park 20 yds away so no issue Hide

Super little cottage in a quiet village but central for all Peak District tourist attractions. Very well equipped and stocked ready to use with all necessities such as toilet roll, kitchen roll, soap, washing up etc etc .

This cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. The beds are comfortable although some seem very short only 6 foot long. The sofas and dining area is also very comfortable. It is a cottage and so many of the door frames are very low. However I would stress this is not a cottage for anyone with mobility issues. This cottage is cosy and comfortable. Very spacious. Perfect Christmas house. Just a short drive to Ashbourne which a lovely place too.
