Visit the Holy Island Causeway (5 miles) for a day exploring beautiful Lindisfarne, the castle, priory and why not sample the famous local mead? Spend time in Berwick-upon-Tweed (10 miles) for the castle and city rampart walks, follow The Lowry Trail, hit the beach or browse the shops, crafts, galleries, and cafes. Catch a train from Berwick to the city for the Edinburgh Festival, castle and shopping.
