Was such a lovely place to stay, Elaine was so welcoming and so accommodating to our last minute holiday. Beautiful fields surrounding, with bits to do within half hour drives. Coming from where we did, we were thankful to have wifi due to there being so signal. The only downside was when it was really windy (only one night) the conker trees were bRead moreeating on the roof which woke me up. Other than that, the apartment was beautifully furnished and very clean and we had such a lovely time. Thank you! Hide

On arrival we were made very welcome by Elaine who showed us around the accommodation. It is like a studio apartment in the loft space of the carport. There are six opening dormer style windows which are brilliant for ventilation and cooling down as the weather was warm during our stay. The bathroom is downstairs. Elaine left a welcome drink of cidRead moreer with cheese sticks which was much appreciated. Great base from which to travel to local attractions like Cheddar Gorge, Wells and locally Wedmore. Hide

A quiet retreat in the countryside. Birds tweeting, sheep bleating and surrounded by greenery. Near to lots of places to go. The Mendips are a fascinating area. Lots of geology, geography and history.
