Perfect for couples, small families, cyclists and walkers alike is this pretty barn which has been converted beautifully while still retaining its original character with views over Ecton Hill. There is a public footpath that passes through the large garden, and for cyclists the nearby Manifold trail is within 2 miles offering excellent off-road cycling. Take a picnic to the famous Dovedale stepping stones within 8 miles. The busy market towns of Leek (8 miles) and Ashbourne (12 miles) offer an array of eateries and independent shops to explore, and Buxton with its famous opera house and stunning Georgian architecture. Pretty Bakewell and Matlock are within 12 miles and Alton Towers Theme Park is just 12 miles away.

The barn offers a handy entrance porch to store coats and muddy boots, a welcoming kitchen with everything you need to rustle up a meal during your stay leading to the dining area with big double doors which can be opened in fair weather, providing a delightful spot to sit and relax. The lounge is the perfect place to retire to after a day hiking the hills, with plenty of comfortable seating and a cosy wood burner, ideal for the chillier months. Don’t forget your bubble bath to enjoy a long soak in the downstairs bathroom after a day of exploring the area. Head upstairs to find two bedrooms and a handy separate WC.

The cottage offers a large unique garden with a lovely space to sit and enjoy the summer sun on the patio outside the barn, also offering an area of mature trees that is home to lots of wildlife.

Very comfortable cottage in a great location for most of the Peak District. Any dog owners with medium or large sized dogs need to be aware the garden wall is low in places and immediately adjacent to a road.

A lovely barn in a great location perfect for exploring the peak district. We ate at the local pub called the Greyhound which is in walking distance with a great range of beers and food. I would thoroughly recommend.

A really fabulous barn in a lovely setting. Decorated and equipped to a very high standard. Super clean, cosy, comfortable and welcoming with very comfy large beds. Welcome pack one of the best we've had. We loved the boot room too. All in all 5 stars and highly recommended.

This cottage has been really carefully and thoughtfully designed and equipped. Lots of small things that make a big difference. Also, the garden is amazing for dogs; I had been a little unsure about the reference to a public footpath running through it - no one used it during our stay but even if they did it would have no impact on occupiers or on Read morekeeping a dog safe. Lovely quiet location, great for dog walks and short driving distance away from lots of attractions within the Peaks. Clean, cosy cottage with very comfortable beds. Our two teens enjoyed the board games available to use including Monopoly and Scrabble. Would recommend for anyone who enjoys walking, hiking and the peace and quiet. A really nice cottage,had everything you needed,secure garden for the dog,only downside the roads near cottage were noisy,but cant change that.

We had a lovely week in the Peak District at Landscroft Barn. The barn is cosy and comfortable and on warm days it's lovely to sit in the dining area with the large doors open onto the garden. We took our 2 dogs, Pepper and Nellie, and we were very relaxed about them exploring the garden as it was secure. (Both dogs are medium sized.) Comfortable cottage, everything you could need with a handy rear hall fir muddy shoes etc .. plenty of garden space for dogs. And well located for walking but not too far from quaint shops.. and great eating places. Would recommend to anybody looking for a relaxing getaway set within some amazing scenery.

Beautifully converted small stone outbuilding. Cosy and well furnished and equipped. Large encosed outdoor space, so suitable for dogs and kids. Great base for walking and visiting local attractions.

Our holiday at Landcroft Barn was lovely. The cottage has beautiful views and is ideally situated close to Buxton and Bakewell. Highlights of our stay included visits to Lyme Park, Haddon Hall and the Buxton Experience. The owners are friendly and very helpful.

We had a wonderful break staying in Landcroft Barn. The barn's location, quality and presentaion are first class. After a day's walking it was so nice to return to such a lovely cottage. Can definitely recommend a stay there, and we hope to return next year. A big thank you to Liza & Norman for letting us enjoy their beautiful holiday home

This is a superb cottage especially welcoming for dogs. A great utility area for muddy shoes and muddy dogs made entering the kitchen and living area more relaxed. We loved the Dog Free Zone board so were. not constantly having to make sure the dogs stayed out. Just enjoyed a fantastic week at Landcroft Barn, were a family of 4 (children aged 7 & 9) and a dog. The cottage is clean and beautifully furnished with lots of home accessories to make it feel cosy; We had everything we needed. Theres great walks from the cottage but its well positioned to explore the rest of the Peak District and a good pub just Read moreup the road. The boot room came in very handy after muddy walks!
