This spacious house is set within the grounds of Drummond Castle, backing onto a pretty lake with resident swans. The town of Crieff is just 3 miles away where you will find a lovely selection of independent shops and restaurants. Visit Crieff Hydro for outdoor activities including the treetop high-wire course and segway adventure before enjoying a pamper in the health spa. Golfers are spoilt for choice with numerous courses close by, including the legendary Gleneagles, 11 miles away. There are several distilleries in the area where you can enjoy a tour or tasting session. With both the Trossachs and the Cairngorms close by, head out and bag a Munro. For something a little closer, explore the stunning castle gardens to which you have unlimited access during your stay. Described as the best example of formal terraced gardens in Scotland and Europe, these impressive grounds date back to the 17th century.
Entering the house, you will find a small porch to store your coats and walking boots. The spacious lounge offers a great space to catch up with family and friends, with comfy sofas, contemporary styling, a cosy wood burner and views over the open countryside. There are two bedrooms and a bathroom leading off the lounge and down a hallway which gives a feel of a separate wing to the house. The stylish midnight blue kitchen with oak flooring is to the other side of the lounge and offers a large dining table for the party to gather around – it has character and style, and offers everything you need to enjoy a celebratory dinner or breakfast. There is a downstairs WC at the bottom of the staircase off the kitchen. On the first floor, you will discover two boutique-style en-suite bedrooms, both with large window seats and stunning views across the estate.
Outside, there is a pretty garden area with seating to make the most of summer evenings where you can enjoy a good book, a glass of wine or morning coffee.
