This lovely cottage is set within the hamlet of Minton in the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are wonderful walks directly from the front door of this property, with beautiful countryside in every direction. Visit Church Stretton (3 miles), which is a picturesque town that is popular with nature lovers and guests who love the outdoors, with an abundance of activities to enjoy including hiking, horse riding and biking. Enjoy a stroll along the National Trust-owned Long Mynd, with its 2,000 acres of heather-covered hills, waterfall, shop and cafe. Acton Scott's historic working farm is 2 miles from the cottage and has a range of courses and activities to experience traditional farming methods on its stunning 18th-century estate. Take a day trip to the UNESCO site at Ironbridge, a pretty village with a great mix of independent shops and pubs within a gorgeous valley. Head out for the day with interesting places within 25 miles, perfectly positioned for days in Shrewsbury, Ludlow and a visit over to the border of neighbouring Wales.

After a busy day exploring the wonderful county of Shropshire and beyond, head back to this unique property that is brimming with character and is a real home away from home. Enter the cottage, take off your walking boots and straight ahead is the handy ground-floor bathroom with a separate shower cubicle and separate WC adjacent. Continue through into the fully equipped kitchen with an AGA range cooker, perfect for a self-catered break making use of the fantastic local produce you will come across whilst out and about, maybe head to Ludlow's famous street market for those important local ingredients. There is a separate wood-panelled dining room to enjoy a meal together with your family and friends. From the dining room, head into the charming lounge which is the heart of the property with its exposed traditional beams and wood burner keeping everyone cosy. Enjoy some downtime with a movie on the Smart TV or enjoy a game or two with the family. Up on the first floor is a second WC, along with two lovely bedrooms. There is a family room with a double bed , and the master bedroom with a double bed.

Outside this gorgeous cottage enjoy the elevated position, with different seating options set on different levels to take in the views and relax. The garden has various slopes and drops with clear pathways leading to all the areas which is humming with natural wildlife in the finer months of the year. Enjoy a meal outside on the spacious patio with its table and chairs, or enjoy a morning coffee on a separate bench to the front aspect taking in the views and serenity of this rural retreat.

Spacious but lovely cosy cottage that is full of character. This is a delightful cottage with stunning views. It was so quiet and peaceful .The Aga is lovely and warm after walking all day and very easy to use( have one at home) and the kitchen is well equipped. I would strongly recommend it.

Lovely character cottage in a quiet position with wonderful view over green fields and hills beyond. Convenient to walk up onto the Long Mynd from the doorstep on a circular walk. This is a wonderful cottage lovely comfortable sofas excellent bathroom. The location was very quiet with instant access to the hills and well placed for visiting the delight of Shropshire. I managed to cook most types of meals on the aga but would have liked a caserole dish. The pub down the road was very popular for sunday lunches and also does fRead moreood during the week but must book. We enjoyed everything about the holiday, including arriving to such a warm, cosy cottage. The very comfortable living room and charming dining room were highlights, as was the very comfortable bed. The very peaceful location with stunning views over the surrounding countryside were also a delight. We hope to return very soon.

This is the second time we have rented the cottage and our stay was just as good as the last, the cottage is stunning, very homely, the location is fantastic and the owners are very obliging, we will definitely be visiting for a third time!

Absolutely lovely place to stay - very comfortable and quiet. The house is very cosy - I especially enjoyed using the panelled dining room as my private reading nook. The aga was a test of my chef skills for making a full english, but got the timings sussed by day two.
