Sycamore Corner could be lovely however the damp issue we found a real problem. The smell and damp air made it very unpleasant to be downstairs in the bedrooms and games room. Lots of hidden air fresheners to try and mask the smell. Rothbury is lovely and the house is in a good location but needs mould treatment and proper ventilation downstairs

A comfortable and spacious house, which was the perfect base for exploring beautiful Northumberland. It was just a short walk across the river into the main part of Rothbury which has good pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops - and the art gallery is well worth a visit. Cragside and the Simonside Hills are on the doorstep. Alnwick is just short driveRead more and the coast is within easy reach with lots of great beaches to choose from. Would definitely recommend. A super holiday home in a great location. It really felt like a treat to stay here. Great facilities (pool table, dartboard, summer house) and plenty to do even when the weather isn't great. Rothbury is a lovely market town, and nicely placed to travel to either the coast or inland to Hadrian's Wall. Hope to return soon.
