Whitwell, a charming rural village, is ideal for cyclists and walkers, with numerous routes to explore, many of which offer panoramic views and a plethora of wildlife. The village is home to the island's oldest pub, which dates back to the 15th century, and if you enjoy a spot of fishing then you can take advantage of the local fishing lakes. Ventnor is a well-known suntrap with a beautiful sandy beach and gorgeous botanical gardens, which feature a diverse collection of tropical plants (3.5 miles). The nearby beach at Steephill Cove is only accessible on foot and offers a quiet, secluded cove with a seafront restaurant. If you're interested in the island's history, start with the castle at Carisbrooke (8 miles). Niton (1.5 miles) and Godshill (3 miles) are charming villages with lovely thatched cottages and a variety of tearooms. Osborne House, Blackgang Chine, The Needles, and Cowes are all within 15 miles.

Enter this lovely property into a warm, lovingly decorated space. After a day of exploring, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner provides a stylish living space with a comfortable sofa just waiting to be snuggled into and SkyTV to catch up on a favourite programme, or watch the latest sports. The large French doors adjacent to the seating area lead out to the delightful courtyard. In the warmer months, open the doors and enjoy a gentle breeze. Prepare your meals in the well-equipped kitchen with all the modern appliances, and dine at the breakfast bar. This floor also has a shower room to start the day afresh. The stairs will lead you to a comfortable double bedroom on the first floor, with a TV, plenty of storage space, and large Velux windows.

Patio doors in the lounge lead directly out to the pretty courtyard garden, where there is a relaxing patio area with a table and chairs where you can sit and soak up the sun, a large hot tub to relax and unwind or fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco.

The Living, sitting and cooking area is very restricted. It is ok for a short stay. This also applies to the downstairs toilet and shower room. The patio and outdoor seating is nice if weather is good and there are good drying facilities.

The accommodation is perfect for 2 people. It is very well equipped & in a very quiet location with a great pub serving fantastic food just a very short walk away. The off road parking was also very useful.

We loved our stay at Berryl Mead View. Clean and tidy throughout. A quiet location and near to countryside or the beach. A pub less than 10 minutes walk. Serving very nice food. This property is on a bus route. The buses do not run very late though.
