Located in a truly historical part of Derbyshire, near the beautiful Derwent River, with walks and lots of attractions right on the doorstep. Set just on the outside of the Peak, this is the perfect place for exploring and enjoying all of the best parts of Derbyshire. Lea Wood is only moments away on foot and boasts extraordinary bluebells and daffodils in the right season. High Peak Junction along Cromford Canal is less than a 0.5 miles walk, with historical sites and a local cafe. Matlock Bath is just over 3 miles away, where you can enjoy the dramatic scenery that has led to it being called Little Switzerland. There is Lovers' Walk by the Derwent River, or for the more adventurous, you can climb the trail up High Torr or enjoy the cable car to Abraham Heights. Here you find cavern tours, aerial restaurants, shops and a children's play park.

The property itself is set over three stories, with plenty of space to enjoy and make the most of your time in this wonderful part of the world. Entering the hallway, there is plenty of space to decant your shoes and coats, before entering the kitchen and dining area. This large and well-equipped space is big enough for everyone to gather, whilst rustling up a meal to enjoy together. There are lovely yellow accents in the kitchen and dining space. There is also a downstairs toilet for ease. Upstairs on the first floor is the lounge and the first of three bedrooms; a double. There is soft seating in the lounge for everyone to relax in the evening, a Smart TV and games and books provided. On a bright day, you can open the patio doors that lead to the outdoor dining and garden space. Moving up to the third floor there is a family bathroom with bath, shower and WC, two more bedrooms including the master bedroom with a super-king-size zip-and-link and a double zip-and-link.

Outside there is a wonderful enclosed garden space that leads off from the living room, offering an outdoor dining space to enjoy dining al fresco on a warmer day.

Clean and nice cottage, very spacious. Lovely location, quiet and the beds are very comfy. Lots of walks to do nearby so perfect for the dogs. The pub is only a mile away and is a nice walk there and back. Very scenic, had a really nice week here.

A lovely three storey cottage in a semi rural setting. All the home comforts you could want. Local walks and near by places to visit. Beautiful countryside.

The location is a perfect base to explore local areas of interest. There are wonderful walks right on the doorstep perfect for dogs and serious walkers.

This is first rate accommodation in a lovely area. The furnishings and fittings are excellent and everything you can think of was provided, well in excess of many places. Clear and detailed information was provided in advance. We all enjoyed our stay there and would certainly stay again and recommend it to others.
