A gorgeous little gem, tucked away on a country lane, with wonderful countryside views at the back and a beautiful garden space where you can catch the sun throughout the day. There is a wonderful pub that serves food just down the road, and a further pub less than a mile away. The property sits just 3 miles outside of the Peak District, and a mere 5.5 miles from Leek, which offers a large array of shops, restaurants and cafes for you to explore. You have stunning and dramatic moorland to discover, with the wild wonders of both Cheshire and Derbyshire accessible to you from this property.

Walking into the kitchen, you are met with a wonderfully equipped space, where no matter what your cooking experience or desire is, you will find yourself with more than enough equipment to rustle up your favourite meals. There is a downstairs bathroom that leads off from the kitchen, with beautiful tones and soft colours in this large space. The lounge has a beautiful beamed ceiling that also doubles as a dining room to enjoy a meal together at the dining table, it has plenty of books to read on the bookshelf, a Smart TV with Sky, and comfortable seating. On cooler evenings there is a wood burner effect gas fire to cosy up in front of. Upstairs offers a twin bedroom and a very comfortable amount of storage for your stay. There is also more storage space under the stairs.

Outside there is not one, but three different spaces to sit and enjoy this peaceful and secluded location. The garden is so beautiful and well laid out and fully enclosed.  There is a BBQ for you to use, a hose for those muddy paws, and seating on both sides of the property so you can chase the sun and not have to sit in the shade. The open natural field at the back of the property can be entered through a gate out of the garden for extra space for your furry friends.

  • This property will be decorated for Christmas

  • Departure: before 10:00, unless otherwise stated in your arrival details
  • 3 dogs allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £150 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £20. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

 

‘Please note that the bathroom is being upgraded in November 2024 and will comprise a walk-in shower and a basin set into a vanity unit.

Further work will include a replacement lpg hob, ceramic sink and drainer and quartz worktops in the kitchen.

We had a lovely week at Cosy Nook, the garden and walks around Rudyard Lake were fantastic; the weather being gorgeous meant we could be outside as much as we wanted. the cottage is very comfortable and we had all we needed, thank you. Great for both us and our dogs.

Lovely cottage, as its name very cosy. Everything you need. Would recommend to anyone who wants a quiet relaxing holiday. Warm and cosy with everything you need. The local pub 2 mins away is also very nice, good beer, good food, friendly staff and customers, made us feel welcome. Thank you Jackie

Cosy Nook is by far the best equipped cottage we've ever stayed in. Really cosy little cottage with a lovely enclosed garden and 3 fantastic seating areas to take advantage of the sun throughout the day. Fabulous cottage perfect for 2. Lovely garden great for the dog's, some lovely walks for our four legged friends, lovely pub just a short walk away. Some nice place's to visit in the area, Chatsworth House is only an hour away.

A delightful cottage with lovely attention to detail. The garden was lovely and secure for the dogs. Perfect location for dog treks without having to get in the car. 2 pubs within walking distance offering great food. The peace and quiet was a true haven from city life.

The Cosy Nook lives up to its name. It's a home from home with everything you could want and more. Easy access to walks if you don't want to drive and a superb pub called the Knot round the corner. Cannot recommend highly enough and will be returning.

The cottage was a home from home and ideally situated for relaxation and dog walking. The lake nearby was an added bonus as I knew nothing about it. I could do as much or as little as I wanted which was the intention. The choice of sitting areas outside ensured that I could sit in the sun and Henry was very happy in the garden and field which were Read morevery dog friendly. We enjoyed our stay at Cosy Nook cottage. It was very comfortable and very well equipped with everything you could need. The easy walk to Rudyard Lake was beautiful with an excellent coffee shop at the end where you can relax and enjoy the view. We were lucky to have beautiful weather, the garden was great for us and the dog as completely contained, everything was there that we needed, even cake tin for me to make a birthday cake! Owners lovely and friendly as was everyone we met. Would love to go back.

What a lovely cosy cottage, fully equiped, ideal for a couple, garden was perfect for our miniature yorkie, very secure. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is it! Lovely local pubs, plus you don't have to travel far to see beautiful sights and scenery. We had a great week.

Everything in this cottage is to a very,very high standard. The wrap around gardens with different seating areas are fantastic and having such great walks and pubs that serve lovely food on the doorstep make it just perfect. Cannot wait to visit again.
