A lovely cosy cottage that we would return to, in a quiet village. There are walks of varying lengths from the door and we can recommend the meals at the pub round the corner.

A nice cottage in a lovely location . The beds are comfy and clean and the conservatory is a great place to relax in and enjoy the scenery. Unfortunately, the cottage is not light and bright as shown by the photos on the website, it is in fact extremely dark even when its bright and sunny outside This could be a lovely place to stay if it was givenRead more a good clean and shown a bit of TLC. Unfortunately I would not recommend this cottage to anyone due to the lack of cleanliness. We wont be back Hide

Despite the awful weather during the Easter holidays, we couldn't have had a better place to stay than Mews Cottage. It was in a great location for us enabling easy access to the Far Eastern fells, but also a quick drive to Keswick and Penrith. The house itself was beautifully decorated and comfortable with all the equipment that we needed. Highly Read morerecommended! Hide

We had a wonderful time at the cottage, exploring the Lakes and visiting Lowther Castle. The cottage was warm and comfortable, with everything that we needed. We especially enjoyed the sauna once the kids were in bed! I would thoroughly recommend the local pub (literally a stones throw away) which was cosy and welcoming.
