Really stunning cottage and garden, comfortable beds beautifully set up for self catering. We loved the location - lots of walks on the doorstep. A short drive to an amazingly well equipped village store - also a couple of upmarket farm shops nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and definitely plan to return as still lots to explore in this part Read moreof the South Downs national park. Hide

Lovely spacious Victorian cottage, set quietly on a lane amongst the beautiful mixed woodland of the South Downs. Ideal for our dog because of its enclosed large garden. Ideal for visiting the coast & countryside.

This was a perfect property for our two dogs, with a large enough garden for them to rampage around, but isolated enough not to annoy the neighbours when they decided to have a bit of a bark (only occasionally). The location was great too, with many places to drive out to see eg Jane Austen's House or The Mid Hants Railway - our last trip was to EaRead morest Wittering beach. A pleasant position on edge of woodland with good fenced in garden. Our dog could not find a way out unless he jumped say running after a deer - Golden Retriever. Lucky no deer. The owners were very sweet, we had asked for a cot and high chair and this missed when they were preparing the house for us, when I called to ask it turned out that they don't provide these usually, but went and bought them for us. Perhaps this should be added to the description of the Lodge if this equipment is not provided. Really nice cottage in a lovely rural location. We had a wonderful week staying at the Lodge. A very well equipped kitchen and a cosy lounge. Garden was a joy despite the wet weather, we even managed a BBQ or two. Our dog loved the space at the cottage and the surrounding woods as lots of new smells.
