Situated in Appledore’s most photographed street, this character cottage enjoys a desirable seaside location just a stone’s throw from the lifeboat station and bustling quayside. Here you’ll find a collection of independent shops and galleries, together with fishing and boat trips for exploring the magnificent coastline. During your stay, make sure you pay a visit to some of the popular local attractions, which include the cobbled streets of Clovelly, RHS Rosemoor Gardens, Tapeley Park and Dartington Crystal.

Inside, the accommodation is contemporary in layout but is full of character with wooden flooring and coastal decor throughout. A galley kitchen is located towards the rear of the house but is light and airy thanks to two sky lights. Here you will find an electric oven, gas hob, fridge with ice compartment, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. Enjoy your meals at the dining table in the window at the front of the house before relaxing on the comfortable sofa for an evening in front of the TV/DVD. Also on the ground floor is a clean and bright bathroom with WC, featuring pretty mosaic tiles surrounding the P-shaped bath, which has a shower-over. Upstairs there is one bright and airy double and one cosy single bedroom, perfect for a child.

Outside, steps lead up to an enclosed sunny courtyard garden, the perfect spot to enjoy an al fresco meal as the sun goes down. Parking is available close by in the public car parks.

A lovely terraced cottage. Open-plan living downstairs, fully equipped and comfortable furniture. TV in living room & bedroom. Wooden floors throughout and very dog friendly. Pretty enclosed garden, but very steep steps up to it, so would not suit anyone with disabilities. Situated within walking distance of a small beach area (when tide is out) idRead moreeal for early morning dog walk. Also nearby 2 lovely pubs with views overlooking the estuary. 1 week parking ticket for 16 in nearby car park. Hide

Cockle Cottage is the perfect getaway. As a family of three plus a dog, we had plenty of space and felt very at home during our stay. The kitchen is lovely and spacious to be able to cook together as a family.

It was a lovely cosy cottage which was perfect for a couple. Appledore is a lovely seaside location. The steps to the patio garden are very steep and were too steep for our old dog.

Great location, dog friendly. Comfortable. Double bedroom is lovely and spacious, single bedroom is very small. Bathroom is downstairs. Decent size kitchen and lounge with dining table and two seater sofa and chair. Back garden up few steep steps but lovely addition.
